Purchased Precision Master 5.5 quart stand mixer as a replacement for a 25year old kitchen aid stand mixer.  Kitchen Aid products have become extremely expensive and I was looking for an alternative mixer.  I am very happy with my stand mixer.  For my needs, it works as well as my old kitchen aid.  I would highly recommend this product.

I really love my stand mixer! First off it is beautiful to look at. Pretty soft teal blue with crome accents makes it a great addition to my kitchen. I have used it a lot this Christmas season from making yeast dough, cookies and cakes. The Precsion master 5.5 handled the thickest cookie dough with ease. It made all my baking so much easier and fun. I was impressed how sturdy and well made it is and very quiet compared to another brand I previously owned. I would highly recommend this mixer for the price value, quality and ease of use. I will be baking more frequently in the future.

Outstanding quality and beautiful

I'm older than my mother's trusty mixer, which I'd been using for the past seventy+ years. The machine has been repaired more than a couple times, but as long as it kept spinning, I held on, shoving it back into its corner until the next time I needed it. That says a lot about an old mixer from the fifties and the reputation of its maker. 
Last Christmas, though, the poor thing laid down on me, and I knew I was in the market for a new one. I'd used my daughter's mixer, with all the bells and whistles. Pretty snazzy.
Whip. Whip. Whip. All done.
It's not that I couldn't have afforded a new mixer long before, and I confess, I'd considered it a few times. But I knew how to make those old blades sing...even with beaters, warped and bent. Even when the milk-glass bowl slid off its mooring and skidded across the counter. 
It was time to go shopping. 
Of course I comparison shopped: this brand versus that brand, and both brands pricing. I didn't shop with a pre-determination to buy any particular brand. I just wanted a good product with the attachments I'd need all in a nifty package. 
Reputation was the starting point for me. I cared about the strength of the motor. In fact, the motor was key. Do they stand behind their product? 
I cared about the company who built it. Does this company have a reputation of building their products well? I wanted equipment that lasted. Remember, I'd used the same old mixer for so many years, and my mother before me. I know what a good product is. 
I looked closely at prices: How can that brand be worth that much more than this brand when all else is pretty much equal? Other comparison points being similar...it can't. So my choice came down to: reputation, power, a sensible price, and a warranty. 
I chose Cuisinart in a beautiful shade of gray, and I'm so pleased with it I want to shout! 
I'm glad for this opportunity to make my case.

A New Cuisinart is Right at Home in my Kitchen

It's built like a tank but it runs quietly. It's still fairly new, but I am expecting to get many years of happy service. I'm astounded that people are still paying money for KitchenAid models as "the standard" mixer considering the direction that their quality has gone in. It's sad listening to the denials of people who are presenting the plastic gears, which always break, as a great feature. It's so insane that I have to wonder if it's an astroturf campaign by the company. As a former health researcher, I was initially concerned with Cuisinart's non-stick coatings on the paddle and dough hook, but I realized that it wouldn't cause the health risks that nonstick pans do, because they will never be in contact with food at extreme heat. By the way, the non-stick coating works amazingly well. It's almost like magic. Even the stickiest doughs peel right off of the dough hook. So far, I'm very pleased. I hope that it stands the test of time like I'm expecting it to. It wasn't just the price that steered me in the direction of Cuisinart. I appraised the strong motor, the steel attachments (instead of plastic), the fact that it runs quietly, and the durability of being built like a tank. Because of its sturdy metal design, it's heavier than most mixers, but that's a good thing. It won't dance around the counter like many mixers would and then potentially fall off the counter. I had been doing everything by hand, but now I've made some of the best bread that I've ever tasted and some of the stretchiest pizza dough. The thoroughness of the mixing allows me to get a higher hydration and that gives me better options. It has plenty of power. I think it has 12 speed settings, and I never have to go past speed 2.

Built like a tank

I love my new mixer! It's great for mixing and kneading bread dough. The mixer quality seems excellent. The Pinot Noir color is absolutely beautiful. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Excellent mixer!

We had a kitchen aid stand mixer for 8 yrs and it gave up the ghost. Found this cuisinart for half the price and it has a better motor and comes with a pour spout lid.

I love my new Cuisinart Mixer! I have recently gone back to baking bread for my family and this mixer is perfect for kneading the dough. This mixer is so strong it can handle recipes with even 5 cups of flour, saving me lots of time and the pain of standing at the counter kneading by hand. And I appreciate the locking feature when the head is raised/lowered, my last mixer would drop down if I wasn't careful. Lastly the dial for the speed is much better than using a slide arm, and it's so quiet even at higher speeds. I highly recommend this mixer!

Love My Mixer!

I have used a battery-operated electric drill as my primary mixer for many years and finally decided to make things easier. I had my doubts about this mixer. ONE bowl? Would it be big enough? Would this mixer dance across the countertop and commit suicide by diving to the floor, cracking its head, and splattering cookie dough to the ceiling like my last "real" mixer did? I am familiar with the old egg-beater style beaters. These odd-shaped ones? Would they work? 
Oh, yeah! I got a 5-dozen batch of cookies in the bowl, the beaters worked like a charm, and the mixer stayed put on the counter where it belonged. The cookies were perfect! The mixer and beaters were a snap to clean. AND I can hardly wait to try the ice cream attachment I ordered the next day. Wheeee!

Nice Surprises

Love this machine! I've used it twice so far. Both times, I made rolls. The dough hook worked great. Clean up is easy. It's much lighter than my previous stand mixer, making it easy to transport. Quieter too. I hope it lasts years and years.

Robin's Egg Blue Mixer

I've never had a stand up mixer so I wasn't sure what to expect when I used it. I must say I'm very impressed. This drastically changed my annual baking. I didn't have to destroy my arms by hand kneading, I'm in love with my stand up mixer. My only complaint is why didn't I buy a new sooner!

Love it

I returned this item. Poorly made. When I turned it on for the first time I could hear the gears grinding. I contacted Cuisinart customer service to ask if this was normal. It took almost a week to hear from them and then the solution was to try using a different plug. Really? Since I mostly bake bread I didn't feel this product would stand up to the use. Very disappointed. I expected much more from a top name company.
