Ordered two similar teapots and did not like ether one. The first leaked steam out of the lid and burned my fingers, and the second was light weight and not sturdy. Third time was the charm and this one is perfect.

Nice weight tea kettle - not too heavy, not too light. Boils water well. I like that the spout cover can stay open until you close it.

Perfect for Tea!

I wanted an enamel tea kettle and this one is perfect.  I previously owned a metal tea pot and the metal started flaking off. No need to worry about this one and it is easy to clean.

Great looking. Kettle handle gets hot. Need to use a pot holder. Annoying. Wish I purchased a pot with a wood or cork handle.

Major flaw

The teapot is a basic model with a nice appearance.  A major disappointment is it does not whistle when the water is heated.  We have tried heating the water to a hard boil, but it refuses to whistle.  I took a straw and blew into the whistle and it seemed to work, but apparently the kettle does not build up enough steam pressure to whistle on its own.  Since it is too much trouble to return the kettle, we just keep an eye on the teapot when heating.
