This is a very good waffle maker. It heats up quickly and cooks evenly. Please note you should adjust the cooking time depending on the type of batter you are using. For regular flour batter I cooked it between setting  3-4. When I used corn meal I had to lower the temperature setting to 3.

Good value for the price!

The waffle maker has a simple attractive design that is easy to clean and store.  I seasoned the non-stick surface with vegetable oil before the initial use.  There has been absolutely no sticking of the many waffles I have made,  It heats up and re-heats quickly when using and the variable time feature is quite handy for varying the darkness of the waffles.  Having separate red and green lights makes it easy to know when the batter should be poured in and when the waffle is ready. The recipes included in the instruction manual are simple and delicious.  Finally, the price is very reasonable, especially when compared to other more fancy models.

Simple Excellent Waffle Maker

As with all of my Cuisinart kitchen appliances, I really love this waffle maker.  The waffles come out consistently uniform every time and they are delicious.  Put the batter in, close the lid and, after a few seconds, a red light appears. When the light turns green again, the waffles are finished… no more setting a timer. The unit also comes with a generous recipe collection (included in the instruction book). A FANTASTIC waffle maker!

Great waffles thanks to Cuisinart

I had wanted to replace my old waffle maker for a while, as it made the Belgian style waffles, while I prefer the thinner classic style waffles. Plus the old one had a Teflon type non-stick coating, which I want to avoid due to toxicity issues. This product had a ceramic type coating which is of less concern. This product makes perfect crispy-on-the-outside waffles. I just set the thermostat all the way up to “5”, and let the batter go through one cycle. When the green light comes on again it's pretty much done the way I like it - every time. One thing I noticed is that the thermostat lever feels loose, like it has a bit of play it it.

Best waffle maker for a great price

Simple, effective waffle maker for a great price. Plug it in, no on and off button. Set the dial to whatever setting for crispness you like and it heats up really quickly. The slide button is a little loose, but seems to keep the temp exactly where I punch it to and the wake flies come out evenly done every time.  I love having a three year warranty also.

Bargain waffle maker

I'm a traditionalist when it comes to waffles. For breakfast wafers I was a smaller honey comb, you can apply syrup or fruits more evenly and lightly. This machine is compact and simple to operate. I'm still working on adjustments but the waffles are nicely and quickly cooked. The cook is pretty even with only the outer edge being lighter than the center. No oil or grease is required. Clean up is easy. If used properly this unit will make hundreds of waffles during its operational life.

Very Pleased with This Waffle Maker

The last time I had waffles from a waffle maker harks back many many decades ago in my parents home with one of those very large and extremely heavy waffle irons.  On my sourdough journey I thought how fun it would be to make waffles, scrolled through dozens of waffle makers and bought this one.  What a delight it is, perfect size for toasting my batch of homemade sourdough discard waffles, freezing and then toasting. Makes wonderful food gifts, everyone has memories of waffles from childhood or restaurants and these come out restaurant worthy in this Cuisinart. I highly recommend this Cuisinart model

Waffles come out Restaurant worthy!

Great compact waffle maker. Very quick! Heats up in 2-4 minutes depending on setting, then each waffle takes only about 2 minutes. Very nonstick, baked the waffles well. Deducted 1 star because on max (5) it still doesn't get very dark or crispy, but they are sufficiently baked. And a Great value.

The only good thing about this waffle maker is that it heats up fast. It will burn the waffle on the heat setting of 3 or 4 so you have to pay attention. Also, not impressed with quite a lot of batter pouring out (and I didn't use much more than recommended amount) after putting the lid down. The waffle doesn't cook evenly either. The back part of the waffle is thinner than the front. Bypass this unit.
