[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this product for several years and am very satisfied with it for my hair care needs.

I LOVE Curl Maker! I've been a long time buyer of Curl Maker, and lots of Camille Rose hair products. Curl Maker has been the best curl jelly I've used so far on my daughter's curls. I like it because it has clean ingredients, it has a nice mild clean smell, and it is not drying on her hair. she has type 3b and this product gives her curls so much definition. It has enough hold without being crunchy, and if you need extra hold you can always apply more.
Curl Maker has been my go to jelly for years and years now, and I will continue to purchase it.

Love! Curls are still soft and bouncy. Gets curls popping.  Good for edges also- if you like a more natural look. Hair is still soft, appears soft without so much form and structure like other gels. No white cast or white beading when blended with other products. Blends good with oils and leave in conditioners.

Worked great , it was just a little too heavy for my hair. Next time I'll just use less product. But amazing results

It works!!!!

This gel is consistently good and if they've ever changed the formula, I haven't had any issues. Despite it being in a bottle with pump, this is a firm gel with a thick consistency not like a jelly or custard. 4 stars bc it is difficult to get all of the product out of the bottle with the narrow opening. The pump also sometimes struggles with air pockets. But these are packaging issues, not to do with the gel itself. 

Best to use on damp or slightly wet hair, not soaking wet. The marshmallow root gives slip and shine. Has a pleasant and light citrusy, woodsy scent - what I'd imagine a lemon grove smells like. Gives a soft hold that'll last 4-5 days as long you don't manipulate too much with stretching or banding. Not firm enough to do slicked down styles or baby hairs. 

Also 4 stars bc for my hair it's not moisturizing enough to use on its own and it can be difficult to find combos with leave-ins or creams that won't flake - even within the Camille Rose line. I tried this with the CR Curl Milk and my hair was dried out the next day. Tried with the CR Honey Hydrate leave-in and lost a lot of definition bc the Honey Hydrate was too thick for the gel to penetrate. Finally tried with the CR Curl Whip and my hair is soft and defined but it flaked and left a dull, grey cast.

One of my faves but can flake with other products

The first time I bought this, it smelled good and worked well with frizzes on my curly short hair. On my second bottle now but something has changed, maybe bought by a big company who changed the formula.  it does not smell as good and is now making my hair sticky.  Sorry but I will not purchase this item again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The price of this product has Fibre up incrementally over the last few years. The quality of the product has remained steadfast but the price is getting out of hand for what the product is

Listened to all the hype about how wonderful this product was but it did not do as it was suppose to it did not give me any curl definition and it also made my hair feel sticky to where I had to wash my hair after just 2 days with this product in hair, you get a good amount but this product is costly when you looking for your hair get the results with product being bought, would not buy again, this product was not good for my thick 4C coily hair

Don't waste your money especially with thick hair

this product is not meant for tightly coild curls. the product works when wet, soon as it dries it becomes a fro again and only define curls at tips of hair.  although it does work on lighter curls very nicely. I love this product for one kids hair but not the other. it also has a very odd smell.
