This hitch is rated to tow up to 2,000 lbs. gross trailer weight and 200 lbs. tongue weight. This makes it an excellent choice for towing a small utility trailer, popup camper, boat trailer and many others (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). It is also the ideal option for adding cargo space to your vehicle with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or bike rack.

This class I hitch offers a custom fit for the Fiat 500 (excluding Abarth) 2012-2019. The custom-fit design optimizes the installation to eliminate all unnecessary modifications, and it promotes an integrated look with the vehicle’s existing design features and layout.

Bought the Curt from Walmart mainly because it was the most inexpensive available and convienient to order, and having looked at other Curt hitches they appeared to be of good quality and finish. Instructions were very good and it went on without too much effort, bolt holes lined up perfectly. The hassle however was in getting the muffler system lowered from the Fiat to actually allow installation. The hard rubber mounts took maximum effort to get loose, and a couple of other items had to be taken off as well. I had to buy a long prybar and spend a couple hours struggling with this.  All eneded well and am quite satisfied with the final result. Note that this is a Class 1 rated hitch, some other brands are rated Class 2. I believe this is because the Curt mounting hardware consists of just 4x bolts only, no additional steel clamps as on the DrawTite version. But Class 1 should be sufficient for sure, You wouldn't ever want to tow Class 2 loads with a Fiat 500 anyway!
