Assembly and mounting is a lot tougher without the correct sockets. It's do-able without but I'd recommend you have a socket set to hand.
I used this cargo carrier for a 500 mile road trip on a Ford Explorer and it was perfect. The raised position placed the luggage above the exhaust line and I was still able to open the trunk with luggage installed. 
Online order for store pick up was smooth.
So a great product, even better price and a quick and easy order/pick up.

The best 1 1/4" hitch basket in the market

Cant wait to use it perfect for my Corolla

It arrived very quickly and in perfect condition.  Assembly was a snap.  I bolted it together with the nuts to the outside to protect the cargo.  The carrier was advertised to hold a maximum of 500 pounds but really holds a maximum of 300 pounds.  I expected that.  I have not used the carrier yet, but it is solid when mounted in the receiver.
