I am a 65 year old male suffering from ALS/Lou Gehrig's Disease. I can only use the computer with voice recognition software. A conventional microphone/headset would not work and it was recommended I consider a USB microphone. The product arrived quickly. I plugged it in. And, I have been operational ever since! Great value for the money!!

Perfect for Voice Recognition Software!

I looked for months for a quality headset for voice recognition that didn't break the bank. I tried a number of headsets before I tried the Cyber Acoustics USB headset and hope this review keeps you from the headaches and wasted time I experienced. This headset was miles ahead of every other headset in voice recognition quality that I tried. The only negative I experienced was that even at its largest adjustment it still seemed not quite large enough and somewhat uncomfortable at first. But since I bought this item for its performance and not as a fashion accessory, I would highly recommend it.

Best quality headset in this price range.

I love the headset, works well with Skype. This is the first USB headset I have had, and I have no problems with it.

I do however have a problem how it shipped. It was in a ziplock-type plastic bag- just a regular bag like I have in the kitchen. This bag was placed in a padded envelope. So there was no box or anything sturdy to protect the headset. It appeared that it was a return or used merchandise, not in proper packaging. To make things worse, we live in an apartment building and the delivery man tried to hide the package by placing it under a rug at the door. I walked right over it without realizing it. Thankfully, my foot was just barely over it. Not all happy with how it was shipped.

It did arrive promptly, and I have no problem with what the delivery person did- I think it should have been packed differently. I would have expected a sealed package for a new item.

Good option for a Skype headset

I have used my headset for conference calls for work ad my VOIP phone on my laptop. This headset is very clear for the sound and comfortable to wear as well. I recommended this headset to my co workers as well. Works great and an awesome price.

Cyber Acoustics USB Headset

The Mic works immediately after plugging in. I thought it might need a software to run it and it turns out to need nothing. The quality of sounds recorded through it are satisfying.

I found them to be a little tight for us big headed persons but over all construction was solid an well engineered. the sound and mic pick up perfect far exceeding what I thought I would get from head set in this price range.

BETTER THAN WHAT COMES WITH PACKAGE

Very nice! You get more than you might expect for the price and very comfortable to wear. Get'em, why pay more?

Have been using this for a little over 3 weeks now as a work from home service rep. and it has worked well. Although it does hurt my one ear a bit it may just be because I'm not used to wearing a 2-ear headset.
Will say it always detects well (something many other people in our training had problems w/other brands) and works very good in everything I've used it in. It has a great mic compared to others where you hear a lot of noise and /or external sounds. One tip is to go into your voulume icon,rightclick and select recording devices then set the volume down to about 70 or so as it picks up very well.
As far as how it holds up for the long run that will have to be seen but I hope it is well.

CyberAcoustics USB Headset

From the image, I thought these were like the last set that I had where the ear speaker cushions cover the ear comfortably. These do not and the cushion is hard and hurts my ears almost immediately. I gave them to my 8 yr old and she seems to like them just fine. I cannot tell you how they sound because I could not stand to have them on my ears for one more minute.
