I purchased this for my parents who live in a bungalow. They don't need much but enough to do Facetime, emails, netflix and some other stuff. They didn't want to spend a lot so this was the one. Easy enough to set up. The range is ok but I wouldn't consider this for a large home.

Entry level but good

I bought this about 6 months ago and have had a lot of problems with. About every 1-3 days it becomes unusable (active connections don't respond on multiple devices) and then needs a reboot before it is usable again. I have had D-Link routers before and this is the worst one I've owned. There is no firmware update available and not that I expected it (at this pricepoint), there is no option to go to DD-WRT or OpenWRT. I ordered a tested router that had good reviews online and this one will go to the IT graveyard.

Arg, needs rebooting every few days!

Drops connection at best every day and a half, otherwise router spontaneously reboots a couple of times a day. This AC1200 router is much slower than the decade old N600 router it was supposed to replace. Why? Because in 2021 this thing STILL SHIPS without gigabit ethernet. The 10 year old router literally gets 2.5x faster wifi speeds on the older wireless N standard than this does on AC. Seems it can't keep up with our network demands, and crashes out routinely.

Spontaneous reboots

Don't spend your money on this. wifi connection drops a few times a day for no reason, and it needs to be constantly rebooted.   Works OK as a LAN router though, but the WiFi is inconsistent.

It's garbage. It needs constant re-boots

After 3 months it started to reboot itself.   I reset the system twice and same.    Firmware is up to date
