I've purchased refurbished items before - a number of them from walmart over the last few years. Generally speaking I've found the quality/reliability of the items to be on par or better than new in box / package items. This was no exception. I work in IT so I had anticipated that setup of this router would be fairly simple and it was. I tend to avoid setup wizards and such for things like this - I prefer to set up myself and "tweak" things. Setup was fast and easy. Only thing that I found was that android devices were having trouble connecting on 5Ghz band. I couldn't find a cause for this reached out to D-Link Canada support via a chat session. I explained how it was set up, what I had done. The tech immediately referred me to an article talking about adjusting IPv6 settings. Rebooted the router and problem was solved. I suspect that if I had bothered to read the setup instructions this would have been covered - as it was problem was resolved easily. Router is great, very fast. Signal strength is much better than the older router that I had. I would definitely recommend.

It has been working well since I purchased it and I have not had any issue with it.

Good Product

Bought to replace older D-Link router.  Has good range and though older style (pre Windows 10) seems to be working fine.  Price was less than half of new model.

Excellent buy

I bought this item almost a month ago and so far everything has been perfect! I have had no issues with the product at all and would definitely recommend it.

Recommend

You can't go wrong with this modem. I tested it in a 3 floor house with marble floors on main floor and it was able to get a signal throughout the house (I assume by bouncing through the walls and going up the stairs because the signals can't pass through stone, steel, ceramic or marble). I did return it though but only because I also bought the more expensive 880L and wanted that one because of the USB to hook up a shared hard drive. But I had full speed and connections as good as the 880L.

Works well

I gave 5 stars for the product because it works so well and the price is very affordable.  I expected to received a brand new product with a manufacturing box when I received the delivery package.  Unfortunately,  I could only see all parts inside the package box that made me felt it is not a brand new product although all parts looked new.  I tried to connect all parts together and it works.  For saving my time and energy, I finally accept this and avoid the return.

The Router works well, but Walmart miss treated me

I bought this device / refurbished for very cheap and it is one of the best modems. Runs really great and fast!

Customer service is perfect, they take good care of me. As for the router it is not powerful enough and my wifi did not work well.
