I love Demeyere cookware but there's a few draw backs to me with this pot. The handles gets really hot, the handles on the sides are too small. The rim/lip could be a lot wider to prevent any spilling at all. Apart from those I love the beauty of the pot.

I really love Demeyere pots and pans. I own nine of them: from the Atlantis, Demeyere John Pawson 7, and Silver-7 series. They are incredibly convenient to cook with, and they are true works of art in themselves. This Dutch Oven With Lid is a good addition that I bought 2yo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been wanting to get a good quality, family size Dutch oven and was debating between Le Creuset and Demeyere 5.5 qt. I decided to go for Demeyere and I'm so glad I did. I have other Demeyere products and I love them all. I've owned a few different cookware sets that are as expensive as Demeyere, but Demeyere is far better than any cookware I've ever owned!! I LOVE LOVE how they're rivetless!

Best ever!!!

I love the Atlantis collection by Demeyere, it's the best cookware on the market. This is a really great dutch oven, a nice size, perfect for making soups, pot roasts, hot beverages, pasta dishes. With the 7 layers of silver, copper and stainless steel, there is no other dutch oven like it because silver and copper are the best at conducting heat, so that means you are going to have a vessel that heats up quickly and retains the heat throughout the oven. This dutch oven has rivetless handles, great for easy cleaning, and with the Silvinox finish, your dutch oven will be clean from impurities from the steels and metals and will look like new for years to come. Worth the investment!

You will not believe how quickly this pot brings liquids to a boil! Demeyere cookware is the best of the best. Each size and shape of the vessel is manufactured for optimal performance. Sauce pans and other straight sided pots are heavier on the bottom than the sides for maximum heat retention,flat bottoms for even cooking over the entire surface and rolled rims for dripless pouring. Fry pans and other conical pots have thicker bottoms and substantial sides to create maximum cooking throughout the pan. Stay cool handles, beautiful finish and no rivets only adds to the value of these pots making them an essential addition to your kitchen.
