The dewalt 20V max* cordless Cable stapler is built for residential wiring applications, primarily fastening romex brand wires and cables. Made in the USA with global materials, This stapler has a proprietary cable guide that helps to drive staples over cable. The compact frame and lightweight design are ideal for tight spaces. A center-mounted LED light helps to eliminate shadows and illuminate the work area in low light conditions. Compatible with DEWALT Drs1800 1" Insulated cable staples (sold separately). Maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) is 20 volts. Nominal voltage is 18.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had 3,000' of 12 and 14 ga wire to install myself.  This made the job so much faster and neater. Being able to hold the wire nice and flat while you staple with the other hand. I triple stacked wires and again with my one hand I could keep the stack nice and neat.  I never once miss fired to nick a line.  The light is great.  All of the overhead stapling was so much easier because you can again stretch out the wire with one hand and hit it with 2 or 3 staples with the other from one position. Also there's a decent amount of power to send the staples home (unlike those manual wire staplers)

I was about to write this review on the web site where I bought it, but was not allowed because I wrote a negative review on a show they published which has nothing to do with this excellent product.

Worked as designed

Drives staples without issue. Light weight, easy to handle. Makes it easy to attach 12/2, and 14/2 with ease.

Not only for electrical buy also for Pex

I bought the staple gun a few weeks ago and have been using it daily. works wonderfully saves a lot of time not having to fumble around a nail apron for a staple and my thumbs really appreciate not being hit with a hammer also. staple guns a bit bulky and a little on the heavy side but very easily over looked when saving the time it does. I would recommend this product. have used it daily for 4 weeks now and have had not one issue, no jamming no miss fires and no staples that have damaged the wire. again all around great product.

I recently bought this specifically to hang some long runs of romex.  Conceptually this is a great tool.  I did run into issues with the staples not setting deep enough and having to hammer them down after initial stapling.  The issue was specifically happening when it was a single piece of romex (12 or 14 guage).  Any time i was securing 2 pieces of romex together I had no issues.  I really wish there was a power adjustment on this.  That said even with this issue it did greatly increase the speed at which I was able to complete the job, so if time is a concern for you I would recommend this tool

Good, but not great

I'm an electrical contractor and I have four of these stapler's love the way that they save me time when they are working correctly at least two of them stay in the repair shop all of the time. Waiting on someone else to come out with one hopefully it'll be a lot better than theses are
