[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It runs smooth and easy to use. If came in super handy when making cuts in the cement board. I'm remolding they shower and needed to make cuts around the shower niche. With the proper blade this tool made it so easy. It saved time and It Allowed me to use full sheets of cement board instead of having to cut multiple pieces.

I bought the new model last year and just like my old cordless dewalt jigsaw this one is also one of my most used tools, being a trim carpenter I use this thing so many times throughout the day from cutting skirtboards, notching baseboard, crownmoulding, holes in cabinets etc! Everything from the variable speed for when you need to go slow and the power on full blast this saw is perfect the way the tool is balanced and just goes exactly where you want it to when cutting it what sets this thing apart from all the other brands, my only little complaint about it is the bar in front of the saw blade is kinda in the way but super easy to get used to after you use it for a while. Overall dewalt killed it once again with this one.

One of my favorite tools

I am a professional carpenter/home builder. I use my tools daily in the job site from decks to full house builds.

I love this jigsaw. I have a corded version and this one. Let me tell you what! The ease of changing blades now with this versus the old screw style is phenomenal!! Makes getting the job done quick too easy! This has a variable sped function and an anti tear out device included. Tons of power and functionality makes this tool a home run! I have nothing bad to say!

Excellent Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nothing matches the accuracy and stability. This tool provides you with that. Smooth cutting with precision and very good balance. Adjusting the cutting angles is numbered and you can easily determine the appropriate angle. Also, what I liked is the speed of changing the cutting knife, you do not need a wrench and so on only pull the slider and put the knife. The tool is lightweight with a wonderful engineering design that you can hold without Fatigue and cutting for a long time without fatigue.

Great Cordless Jig Saw

Finally time to replace all of my 18v tools.  I didn't like any of the kits available, so decided to start off with my 4 most used tools and go from there. This works just like my 18v but it's lighter and runs longer.

Great tool

Way more than just a jigsaw: I have used this beast to slice through threaded bar, cut down old nail-infested wood, so I could fit it in my trunk for a dump run, and cut through studs when I was busting open a wall to create built-in closets.

The control options in terms of speed and the aggressiveness of the saw action let you dial in between civilized, precise cuts, and quick and dirty demo. This jigsaw has been useful so many times to me, and its sheer brute force and eagerness is the reason why I have yet to buy an oscillating saw. Highly recommended.

One saw does it all

This is probably my favorite saw! So versatile and can cut through wood, metal and a variety of different material. Lightweight, powerful and easy to store unlike some other saws.

It has nice style and is not super heavy. It moves effortlessly and is easy to maneuver for a professional cut every time. It's a must have tool for your toolbox. I definitely recommend this Dewalt product.

Perfect Jigsaw

I have been using the same corded jigsaw for the past 20 years when i decided to upgrade to this 20v xr. This saw gives so much more control in the speed you cut at. Just being able to pick up the saw and start cutting has drastically sped up finishing projects for me. The light is in a great spot and perfectly lights up what you are cutting. With my previous saw i would have to blow away sawdust as i cut to see where i was cutting, this saw blows everything out of the way making following a line incredibly easy. Easily cut through 1/4” steel plate, 2x, and plywood for me so far.

The DeWalt Jig Saw stops working every few seconds when run on #7 High Speed. As soon as the blade encounters a little resistance, the saw turns itself off for a few seconds, and then you can resume for a few seconds before it turns off again, making it impossible to be productive. This saw is impossible to use unless your workload is very light.  The blade has too much play where it installs and it moves forward while cutting and comes out of the rail track and twist sideways.  The other downfall is that you cannot rest this jigsaw on the battery when done using.  So the blade has to be removed each time to let it stand up.
