A SAW WITH ATTITUDE!

This tool I bought back in 2021, I figured I'd leave a review because this tool has been so handy and reliable. The dewalt multi tools triggers and grips are the best out of any tool company competitors simply for their ergonomics and efficiency, I can do an entire floor of door cut downs with this thing all day without any fatigue whatsoever, good power and gets the job done every time without fail, very well priced tool for what you're getting. This tool will last you a long time, i recommend anyone apart of the 20v line searching for a multi tool to pick this one up, just make sure you wear hearing protection lol she's a loud one

Excellent ergonomics, well thought out approach

Bought this multitool 5 months ago because I hang drywall and do all kinds of construction for a living and it has been the absolute best tool I've ever owned. It is an absolute powerhouse and I've yet to find a better tool. Every power tool I own are DeWalt and I can cut, grind and drill all day on my power stack and XR batteries and have zero issues! I would totally recommend this tool along with every other DeWalt tool for any professional or diyer!

Great tool!!

My Dremel version of this tool died (I bought it before Dewalt came out with theirs), and I was already in the Dewalt ecosystem, so this was a natural purchase.  From the very first run I wished I'd had this tool all along.  They're all noisy, but this one wasn't as noisy as the Dremel, and it eats everything without complaining.  I love this thing.  The battery seems to run for awhile too.

Easy to use, variable speed works great

I've seen and used ocillating tools on jobsites from most of the brands out there making them. This is one tool that regardless of which color tools you run, if you want the best, you want Dewalt's model. 90% of these tools super powers come from the different blades you can purchase for them. There are tons of sizes and shapes, some job specfic blades. I can't overstate how many different blades you can get for these. 

Here is the first thing that makes Dewalt's model the best:
The quick blade change mechanism is king. Dewalt must have a patent, because none of the other brands even come close. Some brands want you to keep up with some little tool, others make is some weird pull, twist, lock finger dance that can be difficult with gloves. With Dewalt's model you just squeeze that handle, bump the old blade off the tool, load and new or different blade and release the handle. It's so smooth and effortless, it's the reason I'm writing this review.

As for other creature comforts: Dewalt nailed the shape of the tool. It is well balanced and really feels good in your hands. Other brands are either a bit bulkier, chunckier, or the company puts the battery in a weird spot or direction.

The trigger is another highlight of Dewalt's oscilatting tool. It really allows you to grip the tool and adjust the speed from very slow to wide open. There's no fuss to deal with or things to engage, just your grip gets it started. It does have a trigger lock that will disable the tool or lock it in at full speed.

Some honorable mentions include: the quality LED and position, it is always great for when you're cramped in some spot without a light. Seriously, if you're on the fence about buying one of these, pull the trigger and do it. It can not be overstated how many different jobs it will knock out and make easier for you. Take my advice and get the Dewalt.

Bought this tool a few months ago just because it was DEWALT. Today finally got to use it. Needed to remove some glass shards from a broken double glass door. Used the tool to safely remove shards from one side without damaging the second glass. For a temporary fix. And not have random shards falling.

Multi uses

Great oscillating tool with a powerful brushless motor and variable speed trigger (which I prefer over variable speed wheels). I like to adjust the speed of cut as I go. It does have a 3 speed selector switch to cap it's Maxi speed but it's still variable speed via the trigger up to the maximum set. This tea alone makes this one of the most versatile multi tools out there. I also like the quick tool less blade changing system that allows me to use the more readily available and cheaper blades that do the work just as well as the more expensive starlock blades. This tool is very economical in its design, has a lock on switch that works well with the 3 speed selector switch as it only locks on when the trigger is fully depressed. It has a very long runtime that can take advantage of the smaller battery sizes to keep the weight down and also keep it a little better balanced. This is yet another tool that I use almost every day for cutting drywall, trimming baseboard to fit, notching out underneath countertops to fit faucets, removing grout on tiles in showers, and so on. I would definitely purchase again if and when needed.

Great OSC multi tool with lots of control

I'm not the one to sing praises about a tool like a fanboy but this is a very special tool. From the powerful ultra smooth brushless motor to the perfectly molded rubberized grips everything about this tool is top notch. The first thing you notice when you pick up this tool is how well balanced and how solid it feels. The three speed selector and toolpath light are really nice touches as well. If you have the money pull the pin, you won't regret it.

Best oscillating tool I've ever encountered

This thing is awesome. I love everything about it especially the simple blade change. Apparently you can get a guide for it although I don't think I'd use it often if at all but the fact you can get one is pretty cool. I got this with 6 other XR tools in a combo kit a while back and I definitely don't regret it. I have yet to find a Dewalt tool that I don't absolutely love. Since the Li-ion batteries came out Dewalt just keeps impressing me and the XR tools are the best. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with this tool.

Awesome tool

Its a great tool, but its not quite as powerful as I was hoping. I already own a hyper tough corded oscillating tool that I got for like $30 and this isn't more powerful. The good things about it are the toolless blade replacement, light, and ergonomics, all of which are great. 

If you want a cordless oscillating tool its great, but if you want a powerful oscillating tool, look elsewhere.
