[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using the ceramic heat gun for about 2 weeks now.  It heats up to use within 15 seconds and the more impressive part is stays hot for about 5 minutes after unplugging. I was happy to find that although it sais to use 0.45" glue sticks I was able to use 0.5" with no issues.

I was a bit worried about purchasing this after reading the reviews, but took a chance thinking maybe a previous version of this glue gun was not made well.  I've had mine for about a year and half.  To be honest, I don't use it everyday, but I pull it out every few months.  I ran a lot of glue sticks through it attaching carpet while building cat trees and never had an issue with the trigger or it not advancing the glue.  Don't know if I purchased better quality glue sticks than those that had trouble, but mine works every bit as good as I expected it to work.  Also I take the loaded glue stick out before I store it.  I'm happy with mine -

Heats up in about 60-90 seconds and im sure if you dont wait till its warm you would break it like many others.
The glue advance trigger is excellent, no need to push hard, and glue gun does not drip at all.  Great purchase

Great glue gun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gun is everything i was looking for.  Basically everything you expect from a Dewalt product.  Well built , works the way it supposed to , even has a little metal clip stand that actually works. The only knock i have is that it doesn't come with a starter glue stick. If you're new to this, you'll have to go out and buy glue instead of getting to use this gun right out of the box. Long story short, this gun will work for a weekend warrior or a production line worker.  Buy it. You wont regret it.

Solid glue gun

I've had my corded Dewalt Glue gun for 2 Christmas seasons already, no problems at all, including advancing  glue sticks. Just use the proper size, and get 8 or 10 inch if you more glue per stick. Best glue gun I've ever owned.

I bought this product 2 weeks ago and I spend min 4 hrs a day to stick and for the hand it is very difficult and in the arm then, For the heat it goes the element does well its job

It worked 2 of my 5 trys over the last year.  Just get a blinking light and never heats up.  plug and unplug a few times to reset and doesn't usually work.

Poor quality

Same issue! I drilled out the would be glue stop bearing from the nozzle. It works but a guy shouldn't have to do such things. OH, the glue flows now....just doesn't stop. I own multiple DeWalt tools never would have expected something like this from them.

I agree with ZappaCat

Ever since I've purchased this glue gun it hasn't worked properly. I plug it in let it heat up, insert the glue stick, and when I go to push the trigger it won't advance the glue stick causing no glue to come out. I have to manually push the glue stick forcefully in order to get glue to come out through the tip.
