For the price this seems to be a sturdy tool to reach hard to reach places

After working with this tool I would like to update my review. There is no manual so figuring it out was trial and error but once I got if worked out and tested it on a job, I'm keeping it. The Dewalt bits and the Milwaukee bits don't work on this attachment. Can't get a solid fit. Then I went with the Ryobi 1/4" shank bits. Now the attachment and the bits go together like gin and olives.

Once I went online and read how to change bits and used the tool it worked great.  Changing bits is not intuitively obvious so I understand other users poor reviews.   To change bits, simply compress the silver ring that surrounds the bit tip toward the body of the tool.  It's spring loaded and ejects the bit when compressed.   I didn't have any problems after that.  Just keep constant pressure on the the tool as you drive screws and it works fine

Good tool suffers from no instructions

I used this one time to get at a difficult drilling angle.  It quickly bound up and twisted causing damage to the flexible portion of the device.  Is there any kind of warranty on this device?  I wouldn't expect this to happen the first time I used it.  I finished the job but I had a difficult time keeping it from twisting/kinking.

Damaged after using it the first time

It comes with a short Philips bit, but I can't get it out, because you have to pull the sleeve forward to eject it and the bit's too short to get a hold of it, and it's magnetic so you can't knock it and get it to fall out. I feel like I'd really like this tool if I could use a star drive bit instead of a crummy Phillips one.

I have lots of DeWalt tools. However on first use I could not extract the bit. I had to get a chisel behind the collar and basically rip the collar off to finally get my bit out. Pretty sure the tool is totally useless now but it was already as I could not get my bit out

Disappointed in DeWalt!

Bought this while finishing my basement framing/plumbing/electric.  I quickly discovered this cannot be used with auger bits and then quickly discovered it is difficult at best to take a bit out.  After a few troublesome changes the current bit cannot be removed.  I beat the heck out of it and it just cannot be removed.  This tool is a MAJOR disappointment.  I'd have second thought on buying another Dewalt/Stanley Vidmar Product.

I was using this product to tap out a small hole and it kinked and nearly tore into my pinky. I did tear my glove off. I may have been using the product incorrectly. Either way, it is concerning.
