These new boxs are effortless to use they look good and are tough boxs. Only problem I have is the tray in the boxs doesn't stay. It's always falling down. Other then that these boxes are the best.

Hi, I bought these boxes because in my work I needed a storage that could protect my tools from water, everything is very good, I love how these boxes look and their internal space, along with the dimension of the wheels that makes it easy to  transportation, but, it seems wrong to me, that when it rains and your box gets wet, the water accumulated on the lid when you open your box all the water falls into the box.  Which seems like a shortcoming to me, because the time they spent designing the 2.0 and making it waterproof has a flaw.  so that this does not happen you have to drain or dry the lid before opening it.  It's the only negative thing I can say, as for everything else it's great.

Nice , but..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toolbox is built to last. Dependable wire-style latches are high quality, secure and operate with ease. The interlocking system is very intuitive with sturdy wheels/handles.  I struggled a little figuring out how to remove the handle (an instruction sheet would have helped), but what a great feature.  I needed to move the toolbox from a truck to a small SUV and it would not have fit without being able to remove the handle (this unit is big). BTW there are two small yellow tabs at the bottom of the handle rotate to unlock and voila!  The handle comes right out. The 8" wheels are solid and able to navigate the jobsite without issue, The Tough System 2.0 fairs well with Milwaukee's Packout System at a much better price point I highly recommend this system for anyone in the market of a modular toolbox.
I almost forgot, one of the best features for us is the ability to remove and replace the front label holder with various inserts describing the contents/function of the toolbox (eg. 'Masonry Finishing Tools', 'Knock-out Tools').

Very Tough System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the bottom case as part of the sampling program and am fortunate to already own the three piece first generation of Tough Cases. I compared them yesterday and noted several upgrades which I'll list.
Pros 1. The latches are higher quality and easier to operate. I've heard complaints of them breaking off in the previous model and I myself pinched my finger once when closing.
2. The wheels are larger with a bigger tread.
3. The handle raises and lowers with the push of a button vs. a pull bar, which I found a little difficult to use and I'm pleased to discover it's removable. 
4. The side auto connect latches are wonderful, they easily click together and release. The old latches had to be smacked to connect and the handle of the top case was in the way when releasing.
5. The area where you can add a padlock is metal reinforced vs all plastic from the first model.
6. The new cases are 20% larger according to the website.
7. Also, I was happy to see the new and old cases are compatible with each other.
Cons
1. While the exterior is water resistant, I conducted a water test for my YouTube review on both old and new models to simulate rainy conditions. When the lid was opened on the old case, a small amount of water seeped through the hinge portion. On the new Tough System Cases, it poured in.
2.There wasn't an instruction manual and I had a few questions, such as what function the yellow clip on top served.
3. Another thing I'd like to see might be the addition of foam inserts of some type to keep tools from crashing together during transportation. Overall, it's a nice product and the modifications are an improvement from the first models

Great Upgrades

I bought this 24" base free months ago and works great for what it is.  But the more I use it I am hoping that dewalt comes out with a replacement for it that has a drawer so I can replace it.  Constantly having to take the top boxes off to access the tools underneath.

Great box but cumbersome with other boxes on top

Day 0 just unpacked loaded with 5 rechargeable tools. Lid does not align with box, upon further inspection bead on box lid is smashed all around from improper alignment. Look at the pictures, must have been pulled from the mold before completely solid. Waterproofing is rendered nearly useless with no seal. I have almost every Dewalt woodworking tool manufactured and all the outdoor products. Long live the 60v

The lid on the rolling 2.0 doesn't align

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used on site for 2 days 1 floor building with all my tools. First thing I noticed was the mechanism to retract the handle felt very cheap. After moving room to room the handle broke/disconnected from the box making it useless.

Good idea, not going to be ideal for install.

Any water will pour straight inside when you open it. Pointless to have a watertight life when closed only to open box and soak your expensive tools. I thought engineers of some sort designed these, and then research and development tests them. Apparently not. Very disappointed.

Water in box

I got this only 2 days ago (November 28th 2020). It had rained last night and the tool box was secured and closed in the bed of my truck. Monday morning November 30th 2020) I go to open up my tough system 2.0 packout and there is water on top and in the crevices and I assumed it was like the original packout. Where you open it up and water falls behind the packout. I opened it up and all the water came gushing into my packout and onto my tools. This product is useless if it can't keep water out of the box and away from all of my tools. The first one was way way better off.

Water!

I bought the tough system stack two weeks ago. Yesterday I had a job site accident where I fell while rolling the stack to my trailer. Of course the tool box fell over as well, when I picked it up the handle was broken in half and the middle tool box stacking clips were broken off. Needless to say the tool box is completely unusable after 1 fall. Not what I would expect for what it cost.
