It has great torque and can easily take down pieces of wood and walls however it is heavy at 8.5lbs without the battery. Great tool but for bigger job not for residential things.

Dewalt saw saw

I bought my first one about 15 years ago. My dewalt 18v cordless still works as good today as the day I bought it new. Plenty of power and holds up under any working conditions. I'll never buy anything other than Dewalt!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a rugged, pro-quality recip saw to remove the decking from a steel %26 timber bridge -- no electricity available. I bought this DeWalt 60V DCS389B for the job. Initially I was pleased and impressed with the build quality and the power of this saw. It buzzed through the 1/2" bolts like they were twigs. Then, on the third or fourth bolt.... disaster. The clamp that holds the blade assembly just fell apart. I'm dead in the water with no saw and about a hundred bolts left to go.
