Took 3-4 hours to put together by myself, but well worth it! My 5 yr old absolutely LOVES it, I couldn't be happier! Fits a regular twin mattress, tall enough to fit my daughter's dollhouse underneath but low enough to where I feel safe with her climbing in and out at night when she's half asleep.

I bought this bed for my daughters fourth birthday and was a little scared when it arrived in this large box making me think that everything would be a mess inside but i was soooooo suprised!
The instructions were so clear, each piece labeled correctly, easy (in few hrs to assemble) and very sturdy, my girl jumps off the steps and shakes the sides and so far there has not been so much as a squeek. I know with these big assembly sets that there are sometimes missing parts, and there was one bolt missing from the set. I was however able to assemble the bed without it and the company sent me a replacement that came within three days. I have a 2yo son and i will be getting the bed for him this christmas in the boy version because now he wont stay out of my daughters room! Best value, very sturdy, great bed, and wonderfully safe height for smaller child.
only negative i will say is that my 4yo (just turned 4 10/25) is not able to stand up fully under bed, no worries though she plays on the fllor and it is amazing how much storage it adds for toys, the bed is the ultimate fort!

Great bed, am buying another for second child!

I got this for my 5 year old, and she absolutely LOVES IT!!!!! It was not complicated to assemble, did take about 3 hours that was after I went through all the pieces to make sure everything was there and organize to start the assembly process. Really a great purchase, couldn't be happier with it.

Awesome bed!!!

I am very happy with this. It looks exactly as pictured & is very sturdy. My 4 year old daughter is using it & loving it. For the price it cannot be beat. Some advice.....FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY & CAREFULLY. If you do not follow the exact way the pieces line up in the picture you will have to take it apart. The holes have to line up for the next piece that attaches. It took us about 3 hours total to put it all together. The drawers were a little tough because the bars are tight & you have to squeeze it through. Overall it was pretty easy as long as you follow the steps properly.

this bed was the best deal with all the features we wanted! the storage steps are great! i was afraid a ladder would be a bit unsafe for my little one if she had to climb out of bed in the middle of the night to potty, so i searched for a loft bed with steps instead. the steps are very sturdy! much better then i even expected. she is so proud of her new bed. our ceilings are low so this junior size loft fits perfectly. she can still climb up and stand on her bed. the whole frame and everything is much sturdier then i thought. im so pleased. i would recommend this to anyone looking to update their childs room. she loves the space underneath for play. her older sister even loves the open play space below. this is one of the best pieces of furniture i have ever bought.

great bed for a little girl! she loves it!

Easy for husband to put together. Love the room underneath. Love the storage in steps. Sturdy. Not so high that I can't reach her or that I worry about her. Great loft!

Sturdy

We bought this bed for just 5 year old! Came home dilivery without problems! Took my husband 2 hours start to finish! Seems sturdy... My daughter loves the steps and storage! We bought the bakery curtain and that was her biggest like!! Curtain on top part is easily moved (could be a bit more sturdy) but overall good quality! The only reason I give it a 4 star is because its a bit more bulky than the slim design it claims! Because my daughter is youngest age has the smaller room in our house! In a larger room it would be OK; I had to remove one dresser from her room to have additional play space! Safety seems good; she won't fall off and if she did its not to far from the ground that I would really worry! The under space is long but very short... She has to sit to play and bend to get under... But so far she is having a blast! I made a long review because these were the questions I had when we were going to buy and I hope it helps! Good for smaller kids!

fun bed for a 5 year old!

I purchased this bed for my 2-year old. Being technical I thought it would take less than 5 hours to assemble, I was wrong. Parts were musding and I spent 2 hours trying to assemble the stairs. The tools used to keep the stairs together would not latch so they are not functioning. Very frustrating! If I had all parts and the stairs stayed together like they should this would be a 5/5 bed. Others seem not to have had these issues so I must have received a lemon. 14 days until my missing parts arrive, that was not the news I wanted to hear with an excited toddler! I purchased the bunk bed mattress in a box from this site which fits perfectly and is not extra firm like others commented. I twisted rope lights under the frame, laid out three body pillows and a foam pad for a lounge area underneath. Overall, it's a great buy, just know lemons are out there!

Frustrating but functional

Drilled holes do not match up well in order to screw together in a lot of cases. In order to get them to match up, you have to force the screw through and then tighten against the force put on the sides of the screws, which meant a few stripped screws that had to be replaced. Instructions are not well done either. Photos don't show enough detail, and written instructions are very sparse and nowhere new complete enough to instruct anyone. Seems sturdy enough once done. If I had to have one suggestion on the bed itself, I woudl say add 2-3 inches to the railing sides. It says min 4 inch mattress, maximum six, but even with that It gives maybe 6 inches of railing above the 6 inch mattress. With bedding even less.

You get what you pay for I guess. This beds nice looking and is a better price range considering most kids will grow out of it in few years. That being said it will take one person 4 hours to put together. MANY holes don't line up properly which makes it stressful. The storage under steps is a complete joke the door rubs and the drawer doesn't even open because the weight of bed pinches it. Not to mention putting the drawer together the hardware doesn't line up holes weren't drilled deep enough. I would expect the same......
