[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Queer Eye Rudi Mid-Century Futon, Convertible Sofa, Gray Linen was shipped in an oversized box, that still kept me wondering how it could fit in there. Upon opening the box, I quickly realized the futon was folded in half. Assembly of the Queer Eye Rudi Mid-Century Futon, Convertible Sofa, Gray Linen couldn't have been easier. The arms are shipped in the bottom of the futon (zippered area that stored them). All of the hardware and tools needed for assembly are included. It honestly could be any clearer! If needed, a set of instructions are written very simply, along with numbered/labeled bolts, washers, etc. After attaching the arms and legs, we flipped the futon onto its feet. The back of the futon is easily adjusted to the angle you wish or can be laid flat. I really like the MCM look of the futon. I believe it would compliment almost any decor. If you are considering a dual purpose piece of furniture (sitting/sleeping), the Queer Eye Rudi Mid-Century Futon, Convertible Sofa, Gray Linen may be the item you are looking for!

Simple Assembly!

Easy living

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very classy looking futon. I love the gray twead material and the lean positions are perfect. I put it together myself. I probably should have had someone help get it out of the box. The way it folds in half makes it a bit awkward. Putting it together was less intuitive than I expected but I figured it out in about 3 hours. It seems very sturdy, and I expect to have it around for many years.

At his first apartment after college he had to get an affordable apartment.that meant low rent and not much space. It's in a fun city and great location so lots of friends want to visit. This futon means they can spend a the night and not have to sleep on the sofa or floor. The best part is it actually looks like a normal sofa. It comes in a manageable box and is easy to assemble.

adds extra bed for guests in tiny first apartment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all who ever delivered it dropped it, threw it at the start of my driveway which is where I think the cosmetic damage happen. Ok with that out of the way. IT IS HEAVY, the box. My original thought was to use this in my computer room/ playroom for my grandchildren since they are staying overnight more often sleeping in sleeping bags on floor in playroom. Well when I open my RV up I found that my couch had been destroyed by some varmint. ( they got free room for the winter) . Now with a planned trip in early May I needed a couch so I decided to put the futon in the RV. It fit very well now I have not only a couch but a place for guest to sleep. It had taken me about an hour to put together. the futon is somewhat comfortable but lower then I thought but there are several ways of raising it. I did try it myself as a bed with just a sheet on it. Okay for one night but I don't feel several night would cut it for me without some kind of extra padding or an air mattress. I like the color and style. It should fit in most rooms. The cushions are soft yet firm for the time being the rest of the futon feels sturdy but that depends on the assembler. I would so far get this brand again.

NOT FOR EVERY NIGHT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm always looking for anything firm to sleep on. Generally I don't care if it's stylish or not, so I was excited to get this beautiful futon. I got it out of the box and put it together by myself. It wasn't hard or complicated. A couple of things could have been explained better (such as the screws on the armrest need to pierce right through the fabric underneath to attach the nuts), but otherwise the instructions were good. All the hardware is laid out for you in a neat little package. Now to the looks. Lovely dark maple colored wooden armrest and firm, neat, grey linen cushions. A real mid-century look (I should know I was there, lol). The hinged back easily tilts up and down to almost a 90° angle. As far as comfort, the problem with sleeping on a futon is there's always that divide in your back, so this was no exception. I'm sure getting even a thin mattress topper would help, also it seems the backrest cushions are a tad thicker than the seat cushions so you lie slightly lopsided. Even with that, I slept pretty well for three nights. On the 4th morning I woke up with a backache. Also, might be a snug fit if you're tall. I would recommend for living room/den, guest room, or an office, but not as an every night sleeper.
