Very handy and small. Gives you many tools without taking up a lot of space in your pocket.

Smaller than expected (didn't read the size) but very multi-functional. I through it in the ol' tackle box and it's a good tool to have.

Fantastic little multi tool, sturdy and well constructed the small size makes it ideal for everyday carry.

This is a great option for a small EDC multi tool (every day carry).  Although it isn't near as beefy as its larger siblings, it is still very thought out and has decent functionality.  Because of its size, I carry it daily in the watch pocket of my blue jeans. 

Tow big bonuses are the external bottle opener that can be used without “opening” the tool up.  The “package opener” is an awesome tool that the competitors don't have.  I was surprised how often and useful the “package opener” is, especially when opening those pesky bubble packs that the big box stores so often package their mass-produced items in.  

The downside, which comes from it's compact size and weight, is that it won't perform well during heavy duty jobs - for this you will need a full size multi tool or a stand alone tool, such as a screw driver, pliers etc, for the job your trying to complete. 

In my opinion, it beats out is closest rival, the Leatherman Squirt due to the overall layout.

Handy EDC multitool

Hello, I do not do this often it is my 1st time. I bought the Gerber Dime some time back from a reputable business I deal with. I noticed something on 2 Gerber Dimes I bought, I do not know i if it is a few products or the 2 I bought. The hinges for the tools from the Gerber Dime were very very tight. I had to soke the Gerber Dime in oil 2 nights in a row until all was easier. The tool works very well. I suggest Gerber checks out this problem.

Probelm but works well

I couldn't decide between the Dime or the PS4 squirt, so I bought both. I think the squirt is made a bit better, but I wouldn't hesitate to use the Dime for the tasks these small multi tools are designed to handle. I have 3 stars because as others am have said the finish/ metal is rubbing/being removed where the pivot joints contact during opening/closing.  I'm sure though that if it continues to worsen or any issues arise Gerber would make it right.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the idea of how handy this tool could be. However it was very difficult to open and use. They need to make this more user friendly if they're gonna fit a bunch of tools into one. Overall I don't recommend it.

I am on my 3rd Dime the first one was great used it for multiple thing even cut a coat hanger for a project. Then I lost it, so I got my 2nd one expecting the same quality and strength but unfortunately it was not even close. With in a couple months the springs broke in it so the pliers where useless. I contacted Gerber they replaced it no charge which was great, however the replacement is worse than the one I sent back. none of the cutting tools will hold an edge. Consequently I will never buy nor recommend Gerber. Seems they've decided quality really isn't that important.

I was looking for a lightweight multi tool for hiking. The Dime seemed to be exactly what I was looking for @ 2 oz having a cutting blade, scissors, pliers, tweezers and a few other basic tools. The Dime has failed me in every way except being lightweight.. The knife is dull, when sharpened it loses its edge quickly. The scissors failed to cut mole skin or duct tape. The rod that stops the pliers from folding backwards failed while trying to straighten a bent aluminum tent stake. The tweezers do not have a parallel grind, rendering them useless. Even if it only cost a dime, I wouldn't buy another Dime. Buy a Leatherman Squirt PS4 instead. Same weight, better everything.
