i have purchased this vacuum twice. i have everything from expensive heavy duty name brand to stick vacuums. This is the best vacuum i have ever owned. i only had to purchase a second because I gave my sister in law the first one when her vacuum broke. I thought i could get by with my D* name brand. Nope, within a month, i went back online and purchased another. My only complant is the hose is way to short.

Perfect except one thing.

mind was blown after my husband and i ran this vacuum over a 2ft x2ft section of our bedroom and the container was partiallyfilled with  a fine,silty kind of dust that our previous vacuum obviously and repeatedly left behind.also very lightweight.Only thing it needs is a light on the front.

First time owning a Dirt Devil. I am very pleased with its cleaning performance. I thought my Oreck performed well until I saw what was left behind accumulate in the Dirt Devil's dirt cup. Great suction, easy to push on both carpet and bare floors. I'm  five feet. and this sweeper was the perfect height for me, but tall people may have an issue and the power cord is shorter than I like. But overall. this Dirt Devil has won me over.

It works great. Picks up dirt like anyone of the more expensive brands. Not loud for a vacuum. Easy to push. The cord could be a little longer. Comes with a few attachments that all do their jobs. Had the thing over a year and it gets near daily use.

Perfect tool

My previous  Vacuum  is a Dirt Devil very pleased with it but wanted a hose as well. This new one is much more powerful and cleans  better than prior vacuum however this one is very noise  but it is a trade off to ger the hose and more power.  I have not been able to locate a F 112 filer to have a bac up have tried several stores.

I'm extremely picky about vacuum cleaners!!  This vac has Very powerful suction, really gets dust, dirt and hair!! 
Easy to empty waste and wash filters, but doesn't go under some furniture and I have to move some things or switch to hose and attachments… overall I'm very pleased!!!

my old vacuum had broke down I mean melted fell apart all that and so I got this one and I was hoping that it would do a good job I have one cat I vacuumed a 4x5 area rug and oh my gosh all the hair that's vacuum cleaner got up that the other vacuum cleaner was not getting up was amazing I mean now I know my rugs and my carpets are clean I love this vacuum cleaner and it is so easy to use it folds down to get underneath my bed and furniture which I love I am disabled so I'm limited on you know what I can do and this helps me out so much

It is bagless but it takes a bit of effort to clean it upon use. The power is more than sufficient, in fact it is too much if you have a regular carpet and throw rugs on top of it. What I have done is added a voltage regulator to slow the motor down so that I can use it on my rugs which sit on top of wall to wall rugs.  That works very well. I bought it because it said floors and rugs. If a throw rug was on a floor it would suck it up and it couldn't be vacuumed. I am amazed that people whose job it is to make products like this don't test them. Not just this company but most of them don't have a power selector which would make a difference. It is light weight and convenient to store. The value is good in comparison.

Mixed bag

It won't stay up unless you put your foot on to make it stay up. Which is the opposite of most vacuums. There is no different way to make it for carpet or hardwood. And lastly it smells burnt and I just took it out of the box. But it does suck up well.

I love the dirt devil for ME im on my fifth dirt devil cuz the problem  is when kids use it that's where the issue come in theu dnt pick up items on the floor like we do so if the vaccum can pick it up that's what happen and when you trying to unclog whatever in it it's stuck in tjr bottom the holes part and that's get frustrating and I recently got one that has that wire type cord that stay tingling up and easy to rip that's definitely a no no but the power is everything

Adult friendly!!!

Could not get the screw to go through to attach the handle to the vacuum. Additionally, the bolt they mentioned in the manual to hold the screw in place was not in the package. Had to return mainly because of the first issue stated because I would've found a bolt if the screw would have went through.
