After trying out my friend's Ryze Tello Drone, I decided to grab one for myself. It's super easy to use and doesn't require any assembly which is great. The app works well and made it super easy to operate. So easy that I took it out this past weekend with my son who is only 5 years old and he was able to fly it. Great drone for the price. Even a 5 year old can fly it

Compared to other drones at this price, this drone is very easy to use, requires little to no assembly out of the box, has a good quality camera, and offers very stable flight.  It has to be controlled through your phone (no controller included) but the controls are very easy to use.  I definitely recommend this drone to others. Great drone for the price

So, I went into this with pretty low expectations. I have flown a lot of drones and at this price point AND without a controller, I didn't expect it to be anything special. 

I was wrong, this drone is actually pretty awesome.
First, the build in flight modes, work. Auto take off, auto land, tricks etc. work extremely well. It takes off and hovers in place and is so stable it give you the ability to get a feel for the drone. really amazing out of the box. 

Second, the control is very good. I generally prefer having buttons ( so i don't have to look at the touch screen). the app was done extremely well, I don't find myself hunting for buttons or frustrated about trying to get the drone to do what i want. 

Third, Its easy. bump into a wall, it auto corrects. fly too fast towards an object, let off the controls and it will start to hover. Just kind of does what you want, so it helps you, without so much it feels like its over correcting you. 

lastly, video and pictures are good enough. This isn't a 4K camera, so don't expect it to be. but the camera is good enough to have fun with it, take pictures and videos and be able to see them. Also, with the easy controls, i can use the live video stream on my phone to fly it, pretty cool.

overall, really happy, would highly recommend.

Surprised by how good this drone it

I've been reading about this new drone for a few months now and I have to say the Tello did not disappoint. It has a really efficient size (about the size of a large hand stretched out) and at this price point it has all the great features you hope for in a quality drone. Despite the small frame the Tello still has a quality camera and is able to perform some cool in air maneuvers. 

Biggest downside is it's not a great outdoor flier if it's at all windy, so if you're looking to fly at the beach or in another gusty locations you may run into trouble. Highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a starter low price point drone or a cool toy for your kids!

Worth the wait!!

The Tello Drone is super awesome. Some drones require assembly which can be a hassle, but this drone comes already assembled!  All you have to do is take it out of the box and you can fly it within a few seconds. I love using the app to navigate and the video quality is excellent. Took a few tries for me to get a handle on flying it. The model is also very slick and the material is durable. The run time is pretty long and I can't wait to fly it out when it's nicer out. This drone was hit among my friends, they were all taking turns flying it. I received this product at a discounted price in return for my unbiased review.

Great Drone!!

I bought a baby drone a few months ago, but found it difficult to operate. I decided to give this one a try since it is remote-free (you just need your phone) and I am obsessed!! It's so easy to fly and the camera quality is A++, especially for the price point. Highly recommend this product to anyone who is new to flying drones, or even if you are an expert in need of something more travel-friendly.

Very easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nothing inherently wrong with this drone. My kid bought it for a robotics project, but didn't buy appropriately compatible companion tech, so we aren't able to use it as we'd intended. That's no fault of the drone.

Works

The little drone is as described - fast and almost easy to handle.  Took awhile to get my phone to control the unit -   then the instructions were too small to read.  Thank God for YouTube so I knew what to expect and how to get things to work.   NOW for practice.   First time you try it - be in an open field because you won't know which way/or how to maneuver it.  It might seem to have a mind of it's own.  Bumping into walls will shut it down...

Day one   Beginner Drone.

I think this drone, at its price point, is a great bang for your buck. There are other drones out there at similar price points that are either 1. huge and bulky or 2. hard to control when flying. This one is small, sleek, and lightweight. It connected to my iPhone and I could control its flight from my phone. I also like that it can take pretty good quality photos. The only drawback is that it has a pretty short flight time--around 15min. I would take this out on my apartment rooftop for some cool aerial shots, but I wouldn't take it out when hiking or anything where I would want something with a super long battery life. Bang for your buck!

it's a real cool drone with pretty nice features and new user abilities... I give it two stars because it is not compatible with every device and since you have to control drone with you phone  and have the live feed sent to your device. well now this is pretty crucial and they do not let you no in the descriptions or even on the package that only a select number of devices are compatible I've got a Brand New Samsung Galaxy Note 9. to which you would figure would be plenty good enough every device to operate the drone but if you cannot do it correctly it will get on the app and it is attempt to fly around but all the controls are haywired that the video screen is terrible formatted with green lines and terrible interference and the pictures will show up in purple and green split in half.
 I had to return it. if you've got the selected few model devices that's compatible with this drone then it may be alright I don't really know because I got shafted !
