I purchased this model chipper back in 2019 and it is still going strong today in 2023. It was advertised to be able to cut upto 6 inch pieces of wood and it can and does do it. However, I normally keep most under 5 inches in diameter just to be safe. Also I have cut pieces that were as much as 15 feet long. I found that if I can hold it in there, it will cut it.It has cut everything I tried to stick in it, except for pieces less than 1 inch in diameter, which can clog it up. However, it is easy to clean out withthe way it opens up. Bottom Line,  this is an Awesome Chipper and I highly recommend it !!!

Just received mine this morning. Shipping container and chipper weighed over 600 lbs. unpacked and installed all pieces very easily. Very happy with the fit and finish of the machine. After, checking all bolts for tightness and putting fuel and oil in the engine it started on second pull. Hopefully will get it working tomorrow.

Nice chipper

I've run this machine pretty hard with no problems. I haven't run anything bigger than 4" through it but brush goes quickly. I've cleared and chipped 2+ acres of Serviceberry, Scrub Oak, and Pinyon with more to come.

Solid & Reliable

Bought in July '23.  My second DK2 purchase after being impressed by the quality of the Stump Grinder bought in June.  Used the chipper to clear a large site in mixed forest in Muskoka. Used the chips to make ATV trails.  Towed it through heavy brush and up and down some steep inclines without any problems.  Starts with a single pull....very impressed by the Kohler engine.  It becomes a bit addictive watching small trees disappear in front of your eyes.  It did get jammed a few times with the amount we were feeding it, but the two latches make it really easy to "unjam", and it's back running with one pull.

Impressive Chipper

Great machine, lots of power and no issue chewing up 6 inch pieces. However shorter pieces will jam the blades, and the engine has enough power to keep going even though the blades are jammed. This damages the belt quite quickly if not noticed very quickly. I learned this the hard way and at the cost of buying a belt.

You wont be disappointed

This is a great machine that functions GREATLY and SAFELY...FOR A WHILE! I purchased this machine in May of 2023. After one year the "protection sheet" tore and lost a central section. OK, this is a expendable item. Not expected to last forever. HOWEVER, I have been trying to purchase a replacement part for over a year. They have been OUT OF STOCK FOR a year.  This machine will eject chunks of wood at high velocity back out the input shoot. This is now a SERIOUS WORK PLACE HAZARD. I recommend you NOT purchase this machine until you purchase two of these protection sheet replacements. Then keep at least one in reserve.

GREAT FUNCTIONING MACHINE...BUT important safety part  not available....

I have had nothing but problems with this machine. The pulley was in pieces when it arrived. Trying to get support to replace it has been extremely difficult. Now the engine won't crank.
