Impressed how well this unit works, it really cools my whole place it is pretty powerful. Although it is loud but if you don't mind the noise the trade off of a cool place is worth it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't need an AC unit with all the bells and whistles.   Just wanted one that would cool the house and help my poor old central air.   I've set it up in my living room, we're in a heat wave of 97°, I do run it all day, I have poor insulation, and it's still running strong.  Only costs a few dollars a day for comfort while the outside is scorching.  My house is about 1,000 square feet and it cools the entire thing with the help of some fans.   I highly recommend.

We absolutely love this air conditioner. It's in our living room window. When the room is cool the unit shuts down and restarts again when needed. I would definitely recommend this air conditioner it works great and was an excellent price.

Excellent Danby air conditioner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because our small air conditioner doesn't have enough power to cool a large open room. So far this air conditioner is great. I like how it has temperature control and if set on Auto will shut off when it reaches the temperature you set. So I definitely recommend this air conditioner! It also comes with a nice remote controller for it!

Great Air Conditioner!!!

Great price, great AC. Cools my whole apt beautifully, with the bedroom where it is located being cooler, which is expected considering. A little noisy for my liking but overall, would purchase again if I needed one.

Great Price for Great Cooler.

I got this air conditioner on sale and I am so glad I bought it. This air conditioner is a bit small for the big room and bathroom that it was purchased for. It has really surprised us how quickly it cools down both rooms and how quiet it is. For the price we paid it was a great buy and has made the kitchen comfortable enough for cooking and eating together at the table while also keeping the bathroom cool which is a plus as we did not count on it reaching all the way into the bathroom.

Very Nice Air Conditioner

Ordered this unit. 9 days later price reduced by 40 dollars. Walmart would not honor the 30 day garrantee. Their website does nit state excludes 3rd party sellers. You gave to go to another website  to see that exclusion. I found this terribly misleading and there is no recourse. I buy a lot from Walmart, i will no longer buy on line as it is very disappointing to see this lack of transparency.

Disappointed with non disclosure for 3rd party

It may or may not be a great air conditioner.. as it did not fit our window! No where in the info did it say it had to be a vertical window! As such we want to return it but Danby/ Walmart will not cover the cost is shipping it back.  There returns policy did not mention this as it says it will cover the costs for online products as well as their own!  Trying to get this product returned is a horrendous experience! This is not a case of buyers remorse! The product didn't fit!! So follow your own policies! Please

Danby air conditioner

There was no warning from Walmart when I purchased it that the purchaser had to pay for shipping on returns.  
There is no feasible means for a retail buyer to ship this back at a reasonable cost.   

The box it was shipped in arrived with many dents and the bottom falling out.  

As well  the unit won't fit our window configuration (they swing open on a hinge on the vertical side, not the bottoms)….and it was purchased for my mother in law who is a senior.  

Now having read the Walmart Marketplace policy, it was all of $9 over the $250 limit, and it is 6 lbs over the limit to ship via Canada Post (the limit is 66lbs).  
So we're stuck with it. Even though we can't use it.

We would greatly appreciate if Walmart could review and reconsider our right to return the item.  It arrived on Tuesday and we took it to the local store  to return on Sunday. They woudn't accept it.

Customer Pays for shipping on returns.Unaffordable

this ac is loud, i can not hear tv over it. i am going to have to buy headphones to hear tv. does not really blow that cold, a cool breeze only. think it needs more freon. when i unpacked it about a 1 1/2 by 3 inch fins were bent badly. the 7 year old, 8000 btu ac in bedroom blows colder and much less noise.
