Build Quality

I've had my Danby bar fridge for about four years now, and it's been one of the most reliable little appliances in my home. For something so compact, the quality is impressive—it just keeps going without any issues or fuss.

I use it all the time for overflow from my main fridge, especially when I have extra groceries or drinks for company. It's incredibly convenient and has honestly become a staple in my kitchen. Quiet, dependable, and always doing its job.

Exceptional backup

danby.com

This product exceeded my expectations. The interior is very well laid out and the slanted drink racks in the door. Let's use store more cans. The front and its faux stainless steel look has a very high-end appearance. I've had a number of compliments already

Great value - large capacity

Super pleased with this fridge!!! Aesthetically, very nice looking and sleek…. Keeps drinks perfectly cold, temperature controlled. Using strictly as a beverage fridge, just what we needed. My husband switched the door to other side, fridge is well designed. Definitely, would highly recommend!!!

This Dandy Fridge is great!!!

Sleek, sophisticated, classic looking mini fridge. Love the black interior and the led interior light. Unique to most white interiors and gives a modern look to a classic design. Works perfectly and basically take it out of the box, remove packing stabilizers and plug it in! Love it!

Classic, sleek sophisticated mini fridge

Key information is so hard to find before purchasing items like this. For instance, this refrigerator requires a minimum of 5 inches of rear clearance. Most installations will not allow for a 5 inch gap between fridge and wall.

Other than that piece of critical information, fridge is fine. Switching door from right to left required only a screwdriver and 15 minutes, using provided instructions. Fridge looks good and is very quiet (I never hear it run).

Requires 5 inch gap between wall and fridge

Good compact fridge. Model DAR044A6BSL DB0 was not accepted in product registration, so picked nearest model number. Received product in damaged condition (cosmetic damage to rear of the unit). Attached photos showing the dents, and cosmetic issues. Works as expected.

Good compact fridge, but cosmetically damaged

Love this little fridge! My only complaint is that it came dented which was a bummer. We decided to keep it anyway though because I know if we send it back or return it to the store they will just send it to the dump. I figured we ought to just keep it instead of adding more to the local landfill.

The bottom line is it works and looks good. The bad is the packaging doesn't protect the unit as it should and from reading other reviews a dent in the top corner is common.

Great little fridge for outside pool area

This fridge is made well and looks nice, but the odd thing about it, is on the front "feet". One is an adjustable screw in foot and the other is a stationary piece of plastic. In my mind, both front feet should be adjustable. There is a back and forth wobble to it that I find annoying... I will have to shim up the stationary piece so I can get it to properly level. It is a good fridge but has that odd design flaw, IMAO.

Nice fridge

Only had a couple days, but I can't get it colder than 40F. What a disappointment- got it to store extra milk and 40F isn't gonna cut it for my standards, not even close for storing dairy.

NOT COLD ENOUGH

A year ago I purchased a Danby's minifridge 4.4 cubic feet. It worked well for a year. We never strained it and kept temperature 50 degrees Fahrenheit inside. But eventually a problem developed - excessive condensation inside of the refrigerator. Droplets of water were covering a backwall like beads of sweat on the forehead in a hot day. I have to wipe them out every other day. The bread (in plastic wrapping) gets wet and moldy. I contacted Danby's customer service. It is very difficult task, guys. From this fact I made conclusion that the customer service is besieged with anxious customers. Finally, in 3 days I figured out how to get hold on them. (They don't respond, usually). During communications they tried to convince me that constantly wet wall is OK. According to the concept of Danby product designers the gravity would force droplets of water slide into a drain and from there via internal pipe migrate into other tray outside and evaporate there. So, they figured out that a clogged drain pipe is a culprit. However, I found out that the pipe is open and conducts moisture to outside tray but the inside is wet anyway! It is a faulty concept! So, I stuck with this fridge for next a few years, as long as it works. Look at the number of customer complaints that accumulate within any 4 days – more than 1,000! You can make this little experiment as well – register your case and register it again a few days later. The difference in numerical value will tell you the truth. Good luck.

my experience with a Danby minifridge

Danby 4.4 Cubic Feet Compact Sized Mini Beverage Refrigerator with Lock, Red centered front view of a 4.4 cu ft Danby compact fridge in red with metallic door and chassis finish, integrated door handle and keyed lock, reversible door hinge, chrome-tinted glass shelves, vegetable crisper, interior white LED and CanStor beverage dispensing; ideal for apartment or dorm and often used to store craft beer and mixers.
