Purchased the dehumidifier in 2022 for the piano. It worked wonderfully for 2 years. It kept humidity in the room below 50% when humidity in the house is above 65%. Wifi feature is useful to monitor and remotely control unit. However, unit stopped collected water this autumn but realized it is still under warranty. Functionality and features of the unit are satisfactory and warranty service TBD.

Does its job well.    Setup was easy. The only bump in the road was the operating instructions could have been clearer re acces to making the humidity setting(2) and mode button(4) active. I had to click on the the display button(7) before the other buttons changeable. 

This is a minor point as the unit works to perfection.

Purchase July 2023,DDR050BCWDB-ME The application makes the use simple. Acceptable sound levels. 60% to 50% in plus or minus 3 hours. After 12 hours of operation, does not seem to be able to exceed the mark of 50% humidity and does not stop once the 50% reached. To follow....

I love everything, but septic.

Heavy unit.  Just delivered and set up.  If noise is a factor for you, don't buy it.   Not happy with company "bribing" a review for an extra 2 months warranty.   Have no idea how this will perform, but reviews overall are great.  Love that I can have auto-drainage with this unit.  No lifting required.

Really effective, practical light witnesses. 2 negatives: 1- weight if not connected to a drain: one must lift the device which is heavy enough 2- handles for filters are not easy to access; one must use a tool or nails

I appreciate this humidifier: efficiency, ease of use, controls for emptying, for cleaning filters, etc. On the other hand, to make the emptying, it is necessary to realize that it is necessary to lift the device which is still quite heavy; not for everyone unless it is connected to a drain. 2nd point: it is not easy to remove the filters for cleaning; we must use a tool (ex: spatula or our nails) to clear the handle.

I bought it to use for continuous drainage with a hose the option to operate with a hose was to remove the bucket and select the bucket button with the up or down button not sure which one but none worked. I contacted customer service and the continuous button on the unit has nothing to do with the drainage I found this was a bit confusing also it is quite heavy 40 lbs when empty I don't think I could lift it when full using the bucket. With the bucket the dehumidifier is about 27 " high

Sadly the product leaked the refrigerant out of it after 2 years of ownership. Right after the warranty expired. I'm attempting to use this review to get a additional 2 free months of warranty to get a replacement unit. I'll update if I get one. It did work well when it was running.

Works great but leaks

Tried using no basket and have it drain with tube , however it wont function followed manual to bypass switch and it doesnt work, with the basket its fine however doesnt fill all the way before shutting down.

Danby dehumidifier

Product initially worked well keeping humidity in basement down as needed.  But, after a year, it now ice forms every day or so (even with warm fall temperature keeping basement well above the 40F degree temp the service manual warns about).  I have a call into the warranty department and will see how that goes.
