Wi-fi Connectivity

Follows instructions for a straightforward setup process.

This is a really good air conditioner. It's definitely more modern. It's cleaner, quieter etc but be aware that this unit is for windows that open upwards. We bought it, and didn't realize, but it was okay. We were able to make it work with sliding (side) windows. Read the description before purchasing so you know. I do recommend this unit, it's excellent ❤️

Excellent unit, quite, efficient

Overall this is a great little unit that pumps out some seriously cold air! This is the start of my second season using the window AC and aside from the control labels rubbing off surprisingly quick, the unit works beautifully! I highly recommend you go out and purchase one now, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastically Cold

danby.com

Works well and Nice design Perfect looks better than other air conditionner

Great air conditionner

I haven’t used it yet as it is -40 here but looking forward to setting up.

Air conditioner

AC unit looks sleek and works well. I'm happy with my purchase so far.

Great It Conditioner/ great value

The machine itself works well and I give it 4/5, but I give Danby the company and their terrible manuals/documentation a 1/5.

The manual refers to buttons that are not present on the machine. Let me correct mistakes in the manual that everyone is having issues with:

To connect the machine to your wifi, you need to put it in AP mode, which is done by pressing the Lightbulb button on the remote (lower right) 6 times, until the letters 'AP' appear on the front of the machine.

The filter will need to be cleaned once the orange filter indicator appears on the front of the machine, To get to the filter, stick your fingers under the front of the machine, below the metal screen, then pull forward. The lowest 5 inches of plastic and metal screen under the Danby and Energy Star logos pulls off. It's sturdy and you might feel as if you're breaking it, but you need to use some force to remove it.

The filter is behind that and held in with tabs at the top and bottom. Nothing slides as stated in teh manual. The filter has tabs on the front, on its frame, that stick out. Grab one and lift the filter up until you are clear of the white tabs at the bottom of the a/c's frame, that hold the filter in place. Then you can pull the bottom of the filter towards you and lower it out of the machine.

To clear the orange clean filter indicator on the machine, turn on the machine, then press and hold the 'Mode' button on the front of the machine for 3 seconds. It will beep and the orange icon will disappear until next time the filter needs cleaning.

Great machine, once you have the correct instructions

It's an okay AC I like it it does a very good job cooling my place is a slick look makes it nice to see and the controler is wonderful, the only thing is that I need help with the app.

Wonderful product and slick

Air only blows one way. Although product description says 4 way air directions it only blows against the wall away from the living space. So now I have a very cold wall and a warm living room. I don't see any tab to redirect air, am i missing something?

Disappointing purchase

Danby A/C

I have another wireless air conditioner that I use with the app and I love it. I bought this one because it was wireless Wi-Fi. I got it several months back when the price was good. Now that I'm setting it up there is no iOS app to download.. as an air conditioner it works basically OK. But I feel misled because there is no Danby app to download in the Canadian App Store.. I can't even return it now because it's too late.

If you're looking for a window air conditioner, this works. But if you're paying a premium because you want to be able to control the air conditioner wirelessly, you will be sadly disappointed as I was. I was very surprised because I have bought other danby products that I have been happy with.

My Hisense-Fridgemaster window AC has a fantastic app. I can do many things remotely. I am even able to monitor electricity usage. I regret that I can't buy another one like that having spent the money for this one. The smart wireless features and being able to control it remotely, or with Amazon Alexa was important to me 😞

Can't use wireless feature and it's outside of the window to return
