Very nice features, extremely quiet, great remote control and phone app. Attractive design. Only had it installed for 3 days now so this could all change, but so far it's been good, and we're day 1 of a 3 day heat wave with temps in the 35°C range. Wife says she can hear a faint rattling from inside the unit so we'll see if that continues. No signs of any condensation yet. Recommend having extra weather stripping on hand as not nearly enough is included, and there's small gaps everywhere on our single-hung vinyl window. Energy efficiency rating is confusing - SEER rating is very low, but estimated yearly cost is also low when compared to traditional (non-Inverter) units.  Not sure what's up with that since this model is supposed to be 35% more efficient with "advance (sic) DC inverter technology"

Need more time to validate this unit base on its description on site it's what I was looking to buy especially the do noise level

Window ac unit

Got the 8,000 inverter to replace an older Danby 6,000 non-inverter with Silencer Technology. The new unit provides efficient cooling and is very quiet especially so because the compressor does not loudly "kick in" as did my old unit.

Good AC

This unit is super quiet even when the compressor kicks in. Easy to mount. Really good value.

Whisper quiet AC

I bought this to replace an older unit. I was shocked how quiet it is. My only regret is that the setting are hard to read on the control panel and also on the remote.

Whisper quite

I had a similar A/C unit from another company (the features, BTU, etc) but this one is not as good as the other one (the remote sucks, it barely goes off and doesn't cool the room as well). It's also a lot bulkier, heavier and the filter is just odd). My old A/C had an indicator when the filter needed to be cleaned. The only thing better is the noise level is really quiet on the Danby model.

Not a fan of this A/C

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I watched several videos and all indicated this unit over performs. It does not. It's quiet, but best used for a small bedroom. Also, real dumb design on the outside bracket. Didn't think much of it while watching the installation videos, but the arms stick out well past the unit and are not adjustable. Why anyone thought this would be a good design, I'm sure I don't know.

Disappointed

Just purchased the unit. First time using it today. So far not impressed. I believe I bought a lemon. It is not cooling the whole livingroom at all.  Plus it stops automatically after a few minutes. Have to turn off and turn on again and put on fan mode.

Not great at all. Thinking of returning the unit.
