I have had Danby products (portable a/c and microwave) over several years.  I find them to be high quality and reliable.  I purchased this microwave to replace one that I've had for 10  years that was finally feeling it's age.  I would recommend Danby products to anyone.

Good purchase

Have small space this little microwave is ideal. I live in tiny house so small appliances are a must. I also have a 10 cubic foot Danby fridge 24 inches wide and is 4 years old and is working great. As well as the chest freezer. I don't know where I would be without Danby.

Great microwave

Works and heats quick. This item came dented in some areas though

Very satisfied but I do have a suggestion to improve the product.  The control panel needs to be backlit or use white letters and numbers.  Very difficult to read unless you have the device fully lit up as even your own shadow will interfere.

I returned this before use because it's teeny tiny. Not large enough for my family of 4. 3 stars because I've always used Danny microwaves and they are beyond excellent, I won't buy another brand. This would be good for a small apartment or dorm. I usually buy, and just reordered the 1.4 size. It is big but it is powerful and fits casserole dishes easily. They are easy to clean as well.

Best brand, too small

I try hard to stay with U.S. made products.  Danby is my primary choice and will remain so.  But, their microwave ovens generally do not have a mute control to turn down or turn off the irritating beeps.  Literally everyone I talk to is annoyed by these "look at me" noises.   Shutting the door is also a noisy operation.  I am reluctantly giving up on my new 9020 microwave, and see that I cannot get even get a Danby 14SA1 (roughly the same height) to replace it because it also does not have a way to mute the sound.  (the door is probably also just noisy as the 9020.)

Noisy numerous beeps you can't talk/yell over. Bad
