[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] set up was really easy, it was not too heavy either. it reached freezing temperatures in an hour or so,  but I only placed items inside after like 12 hours. it is quite quiet but the light at the bottom of the freezer is so bright

We really appreciate the small size of this freezer because we want to use as little energy as possible and we don't need a lot of freezer space.  Plus this freezer has an Energy Star rating.  We like the wire basket for small items.  We have two other Dandy appliances that we are very happy with so this freezer was an easy choice! Excellent owner's manual too.

After overloading the freezer in my refrigerator, i thought it was time for move all of our long-term freezer storage somewhere else. This sized freezer was perfect for our needs. It fit exactly in a small space between the basement sink and the washer so it was really convenient. We moved the long term freezer storage and now we have room upstairs for ice cream !

Moving Long Term Storage to the Basement

This freezer is a nice size for condo living as you never have a lot of extra room and the have such  small storage rooms. It fits in our storage room very nicely. It has been work great and does not generate a lot of heat as it is in a closed storage area. We especially like the ability to adjust the freezing setting to various settings, other freezers only have low and high. If the ice cream freezes to hard we just turn it down a little. We also like the 48 hour freeze protect if the power goes off or the breaker trips, that other products don't have either. The indicator lights are a nice option as you can tell that the power is on and when the compressor is running, so you know that it is working properly. It freezes great and quite fast. At  the 4 setting it freezes ice cream just right. At 4 1/2 it freezes ice cream a little to hard. 
Over all a great little freezer and highly recommend it.

its perfect for the apartment but the only thing Is that the light on the front is quite bright and ut lights up my kitchen at night. something that could be looked in to please!

Purchased as an overflow freezer.  Looks to be very energy efficient and the 5 year warranty is far longer than any other brand I looked at for this size freezer.  The warranty speaks to manufacturer confidence in the product.

5 Year Warranty was the deal clincher.

I live in a small condo, and this freezer fits beautifully in the inside storeroom.  It holds a lot and maintains a steady temperature.  And its quiet!

Perfect Small Freezer

When we got married in 1969 we moved into a small apartment. The Danby freezer was the perfect size for us. Here we are at the other end of our lives and back in a small apartment and now we are getting a new Danby freezer. What comes around goes around!

I live in a condo so the size is perfect, as it fits perfect in my dining room against the wall. I am disappointed it has two spots where it's damaged especially where you can see it, probably from shipment. I don't feel it should affect the running of the freezer so I won't return it. When compressor is running it's just a low humming sound. I just got freezer one day ago but so far it's working great.

Love the size for my condo

This is a perfect size for our apartment. I like that it has two lights. We just lost a freezer-load of food from a freezer failure. The power indicator showed that it was connected to power, but there was no indication that the compressor wasn't working.

Arrived appearing to be intact. No outward damage. Upon opening, oil on freezer surface. Dents on one corner.

Disappointed.
