Just received today. Bought because have had Danby chest Freezers it the past and they all just worked and lasted a very long time. Hopefully nothing has changed.

This is the second Danby chest freezer we have purchased.  The first one lasted 40 years with no issues and is still running but the seals are gone so is time to replace.  The new one is a bit bigger and fits is the same space. It easy to read controls at the bottom.  The drainage hole on the bottom will make it easy to defrost in the future. Just plugged it in two hours ago and it is already cold enough to put our frozen food in.

Danby freezer

Got this on a great sale for a garage freezer.  Fits perfectly into the space and has a lot of room.  Danby products stand up well.  I have purchased Danby freezers in the past and they are still going 15 years later.

Garage freezer for a great price!

Great product

This 10 cu ft chest freezer does its job perfectly.  As a garage friendly freezer it quietly sits in my garage keeping my frozen goods at about -16 at the halfway point on the dial.  I particularly like the indicator light on the dial assembly that tells me everything is working at a glance.  I previously had a Midea chest freezer that served us well, but had a short lifespan, this Danby appears much better than the previous make.  Highly recommend the Danby for value, design, and operation.  The only downside is the short warranty period.  Chest freezers of old had really good warranties compared to this one of 1 year.

Great small chest Freezer

The product was just what we needed to fit into our space. It was light to carry upstairs and fits lots of food to minimize grocery shopping. The freezer did come dented in two places from the store though.

when I examined and washed the freezer I found that there were cavities in two different places on the front of the freezer, but that does not prevent the freezer from working properly

Dandy freezer 10 Pi. Cu.

I'm about a week and a half in with this new freezer. It seems to be getting a lot of frost build-up at the top back center (lid and basket track). I would expect eventual frost buildup on the inner walls, the current fros is in an odd place. I suspect it may not be sealing properly. I'm going to give it another week and contact Danby if the issue persists.
