We really like this freezer. It has a compact footprint, but has plenty of storage space inside. It was reasonably priced and is working great! We find that it's much easier to access items in this stand-up model than in a chest type freezer. Highly recommended!

Great freezer!

Perfect size freezer for single folks living alone or young couples just getting started. Has more space than I can fill up.  My home is small and it fits nicely in my home office.  Very quite.  I would recommend this freezer to family and friends.

Little Giant of a Freezer

Love the size and certainly does the job.  The only downer is that you must manually defrost the freezer twice a year. Even though I am in my seventies, I have never defrosted a freezer.

Great little freezer

I brought this freezer in 2022. It set in the box in my garage for 3 1/2 years because the one I already had was still working after twenty years.
It still works, but needed defrosting so I switched it out with the Danby. Works like a charm!! Even though I only have two years warranty on a brand new freezer. I think it will give me service as well as the one I replaced, which by the way still works.

Great upright freezers

Great small freezer, does an excellent job so far. We have had no problems with it! I would recommend!

Great freezer, excellent value!

I am happy so far with my choice (8.5 cu. ft . Upright Freezer). I hope that I'll be happy as well, 5 years from now.
One thing to mention: it would have been even happier if the freezer had light inside. 
I still give the freezer 5 stars.

Happy with my freezer

A little too compact for my needs, but making it work. Difficult to open the door right after closing it, but a good tight vacuum seal.  Wish it had an actual handle as opening it would be easier.  The best thing is that it runs quietly unlike my previous freezer.

Quiet running, compact upright freezer with wire shelves.

Very quiet and efficient. Only draw back is storage. You need either containers or packages that stack well for max amount of usage. Other wise great freezer works well in our garage in sub freezing temperatures.

Good freezer

We love this freezer. Perfect size for 2 people. Not too deep. Easy to find things. We've had it for 6 months and it could use defrosting. That would be my only negative comment. Would have hoped for annual defrosting.

Excellent Freezer, great price

The freezer works very well in my unheated garage.  I do wish it had an inside light.

Freezer placement

Bought this freezer a few months back and and I have to say I was really satisfied until it was time to defrost.
I Started the defrost process today and I did everything according to the user manual:
-put the dial to 0
-remove everything
-Unplug
-Leave the door open

When I came by for my regular checking to make sure everything was great, I come to find out the the so called dripping tray isn,t collecting water at all. Water was leaking everywhere except in the dripping tray and I had a pool on the floor. So I had to spend a whole hour with the freezer with some towels to soak up every drop of water that was dripping because none of it was doing in the right place. 

Pretty bad design in my opinion. But, if you like sitting beside your appliances twice a year, feel free to buy!
