I'm really happy with this air conditioner, it cools the livingroom great. You have to play around with the different settings, it can get really cold, but thats great on a very hot day.

I have had 3 of these units in 5 years. Typically it lasts less than 2 summers with minimal use and then stops cooling because all of the refrigerant leaks out. 
Forget about buying the extended warranty for when your unit breaks. You will just wait 3.5 hours to speak to a customer service representative. I have called Danby 10 times over the last 4 weeks and I am still waiting for my replacement AC under the extended warranty that I purchased. That is not customer service as far as I am concerned. Don't waste your time with Danby.
