The tube spackling was perfect for this since I could easily squeeze the correct amount of spackling in the hole and it did not drip or smudge. Then when I painted it the end result was perfect.

I was worried that it wouldn't cover it completely but once applied twice and allowing to dry you can't even tell there was ever a hole there. This stuff is the real deal and works effortlessly! I am very impressed and will be telling everyone about this product. GREAT!

It arrived just in time for my latest remodeling project. I had a couple of spots in the drywall that needed repaired before painting, so I gave it a try. It was quick and easy to apply to the wall. I sanded it down and painted over it, and you would absolutely never know anything was ever there. It was by far the easiest part of the whole project and worked exactly as advertised. I would definitely use it again in the future.

I keep this spackling handy when I need to fill in holes, from previously hung pictures and home decor and this stuff does the job. I was taught by my grandpa, so I use my fingers and the easy to use tube makes it cleaner then when I would stick my finger in the tub... I like the tube to have on hand for smaller jobs. I will definitely be purchasing this after I finish this tube.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years, I have mended more drywall and plaster than I can count and it is usually a painful experience involving mixing compounds, messy and wasteful with leftovers to discard. The DAP Alex Plus Spackle (7oz squeeze tube) is just the right size for ongoing household use and the design of the lid will keep this smooth premixed compound soft and usable for many applications. The latest one was to mend around a number of power outlets, chipped drywall and hard to reach. I cut the nozzle on a fine slant and with that was able to make any holes disappear immediately and then painted (after an hour) to match the room. No hairline drying cracks at all. Nice professional finish because the mixture is silky smooth and not gritty. Note that I attended to this job in 90°F dry heat. Drying time will differ in extreme humidity. Excellent illustrated instruction page included. Following these to the letter will make a huge difference to the finish. The clean up was minimal: I used cold water before the DAP dried. Store vertically on its cap to prevent any air getting in and you will have it on hand for months. Professionals or house-flippers will love the large tub but for household use, the 7oz tube should be sufficient - it goes a very long way. I'll keep an eye out for this brand from now on as many others have been disappointing.

DAP Alex Plus Spackling - My 'Go-to' Repair Compound

I used the Alex Plus Spackling Pint on some cracks in my walls that needed to be filled before repainting my room. The product worked great, it was easy to use with putty knife. Some sanding was needed and after painting could not tell where the cracks in the walls were before. Clean up was very easy after this product was used. I have been using Alex Plus caulk for years and this product lives up to the Alex Plus name !!1

I am thankful that I was given an opportunity to try this product and the results it gave me.

i would to buy this product again

Don't believe it when it says it won't shrink!
It certainly does, in all but the tiniest crack!
I had several cracks in my ceiling that I gouged out to approx 1/8 in. to loosen any of the old spackling. In 80% of the cracks I have to re-do because this product shrank terribly.

NOT IMPRESSED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i've used spackle multiple times in the past and i do like that this one is in a very convenient tube it made it a whole lote easier to get into small places obviously you wouldn't use on larger areas but i thought this was very nice size-7oz squeeze tube. It did a great job over covering the holes nicely and went on smooth but i did feel for some reason on some of the larger holes it didn't hold up very well it seem to have fallen down some so i needed to go back in a second time and re-do it. It could have been the way I applied it but overall it did the job well. I am pretty sure should i need any more of this product, which i probably will in the next few months this will be my go to product, I do like how it went on smooth and dried nicely. I was very happy about how easy it was when i went into sand, so i will definitely use and recommend this product. In fact i have already recommended to my cousin.
