We had to replace the screws on our lanai, which left behind old holes that needed to be filled and covered. After researching online, I came across this product and decided to give it a try. It's a filler/patch designed to withstand weather conditions and works especially well on metal surfaces, though it can be used on many other materials too.

The application was very easy, similar to using wall spackle. I was able to fill all the holes quickly, and so far it has held up great against the weather. I would definitely recommend this product.

Seldom do I write a review of any product, but this requires recognition. Requiring an exterior filler to repair urethane foam trim I tried this item from DAP. I could not ask for a better product in that this applies and tools easily, adheres with unreal grip, and sands just beautifully!!! I could not dream of a better performing product for exterior window trim repairs. Thanks DAP!

Really super filler.   It says exterior but it can also be used inside and I have used it plenty.  I have filled drywall, plaster, wood, etc.  It sands easier than MH Ready Patch and the wood epoxies that I use for bigger reconstruction of wood parts (window sills, etc) and it dries much faster.  It also holds up better to a wipe down after sanding than MH Ready Patch.  I think it depends on your repair but this seems to work better than most for spackling type of projects and it dries hard.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] l've been deep in a shed renovation and realized the door frame and siding had some nasty weather damage. Since I'm dealing with outdoor exposure, standard wood filler wasn't going to cut it. I picked up DAP Weatherproof Patching Compound, and it was the MVP of my weekend. The consistency was perfect-thick enough to stay in vertical cracks without sagging, but smooth enough to spread easily. Unlike other exterior patches that get crumbly, this gave me plenty of working time. It rained just six hours later, but the patch held firm and didn't wash away. Once cured, it sanded down beautifully. After a coat of paint, the repairs are invisible and the shed is finally sealed tight. If you're fighting the elements on a project, don't mess around with the cheap stuff; this DAP compound is a lifesaver. Quick Tip: Clean your putty knife immediately-this stuff is designed to stick for good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This weatherproof patching works for both indoors and outdoors. The advertising makes you think it is only outdoor use, but I just bought a house and had a bunch of holes to fill and needed something strong and long lasting. This was super easy to apply. When applying, it doesn't clump up. It has a very smooth application which makes it easy. It dries quick and doesn't need sanded because of how smooth you can apply it. If you spread it out smooth, no sanding is required. If it requires sanding, it does sand easily without it coming out. It did not crack when dried and made it easy to do touch painting after without ever knowing there was a hole to start with.

Unfortunately, the lid was off the container, and it was dried out.  Don't know if the lid was sealed before or not, but not sure if the small amount remaining in the tub was / is usable.
