Found one at a thrift store; not sure how long previous owners used it or if they even did-it looked to be brand new- but we got nearly 4 years out of it! Would definitely love to have another. Cord started to get hot one day, more than likely from the wiring in our apartment. Great product overall.

The boiled water has some abnormal taste.  It's been a month and it is not going away.  I don't recommend.

Boiled water has weird taste

Water needs to be boiled at least 5 times for the plastic smell and taste to lessen. The smell doesn't go away completely, but that's what plastic does, especially when made in china. This product doesn't have a keep warm feature, which is what it lacks.
