This is my second DeLonghi espresso machine and this one is even better than the first. The machine is super easy to operate and makes a great espresso with, in my opinion, less espresso used than the previous version. Also, much easier to clean with less water runoff and less mess.

Great espresso machine for the price point. Nothing fancy but works well, makes good coffee and froths milk well. Would recommend for anyone at home. Worked in restaurant business with $3000 machine and this one matches quality. We’ll see how long it lasts

Love this new machine, makes excellent cappuccinos.  My only complaint is it takes a bit before the frother is ready, after brewing shots.  Other than that, it’s an excellent machine.

2nd Delonghi

Makes espresso cups very fast and delivers an impeccable coffee taste! I'm very happy I have purchased this coffee maker. Only problem is that when brewing, the machine makes quite a loud noise

Excellent coffee maker

The main issue w it is that once it does the coffee u have to wait about five minutes to be able to do the milk bc it would not do it right after the coffee. Dont know if this is a normal thing or just mine.

A bit disappointed

This is not really designed as espresso machine. The filter after coffee extractions remains full of water as opposed to espresso machine the puck after coffee extractions is dry and easily drops off the portafilter.  This unit doesn't do that which is a very irritating issue
Better designed unit is indeed needed
 Compare this machine to Rancilio Silvia and reach or design a machine between RS. and Delonghi classic, you may gain a good market position.

In order to get a cup of coffee that does not taste of chemicals (which what sort of cancer am I ingesting? yuck.) I need to descale the machine. rinse the machine. immediately put filtered water in the container. make coffee.
                    Empty container. Clean all parts. Chemical smell immediately starts coming from back of machine. Ridiculous and untenable.
                    Delonghi was kind enough to replace my first machine but the second one has the exact same problem. It is not something that can be fixed. It is a cheap machine with cheap parts that smells like chemicals.
