Everything arrived as expected from Walmart Retailer. Units are charged and ready to go. Very nice feel to the tools and their small profile will make them very easy to use in tight spaces.

Had this picked out for a Christmas gift and let's just say it was a long few weeks!. This is hands down the best drill/driver anyone could use. It's light weight, very powerful, and easy to use. The grip and balance of the drills is very well though out. Love finding excuses around the home/ projects so I can use it.

The drill and driver work excellant and have a great feel.Not heavy and not light. features and settings and especially the working lights add to a great user experience. This set is miles ahead of other manufacturers. Built in between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans is a plus. One small, but big anomaly Dewalt. This combo kit leads/misleads the buyers. As well as this website for the DCK283D2 Combo kit.The pictures of the drill and driver as well as the picture of the batters say "20V Max XR" this website says the same. The batteries are clearly NOT the XR. I think you should right that in some way with customers.

Great Kit

The best set money can buy!!! I find this has everything I needed and it performs flawlessly!! I use these at work and have been so impressed that I asked for a set for Christmas and I got them!!

I had previously owned a cheap drill driver and impact driver set, which I used infrequently for various tasks.  However, when we purchased our own home and began remodeling, it quickly became apparent they were not up to the task.  At that point, I did some research and decided to purchase the DeWalt DCK283D2 kit, as I wanted a quality brushless drill driver and impact driver set that I could depend on.  Having used them now for 10 months, I can definitely say that neither has let me down.  The DCD791 1/2" Cordless Drill Driver is lightweight, but has tons of power available with 2 speed settings and 15 clutch settings, making it easy to control as needed for tough jobs or light work.  The 1/2" ratcheting metal chuck is easy to use and holds bits tightly.  The 3-mode LED light also comes in handy.  The DCF887 Impact Driver is also lightweight and compact, but with 3 speed settings is very powerful to drive anything from small screws to lag bolts with ease.  The quick-release chuck makes it easy to quickly change bits and can be done with one hand.  The kit included a pair of 20V MAX XR 2.0AH lithium ion batteries that allow a significant amount of use between recharging.  The included charger is quick to recharge the batteries and the bag that is included makes it nice for transporting both tools when needed.  This kit sold me on DeWalt tools and I highly recommend it for both DIYers and Pros!

High quality and great power!

I bought this yesterday. Was all excited, first thing I noticed was the batteries are NOT the XR batteries as shown on the box. I upgrade them all to the 5ah batteries anyways so I suppose it doesn't really matter but they should really change the package to the regular ones, or give us the XR ones for a replacement. The tools seem pretty good over all but the direction switch on the impact is very hard to switch. It feels like it's not put in properly or something. Don't even know how to get it fixed. Dewalt, if you read the please reach out. Other than that, they are decent, but only time and use will tell for sure

Decent

I bought this set (DCK283D2) today and discovered that the batteries are the normal variety and not the XR as advertised or shown on the box. I read quite a few negative comments regarding this False Advertisement problem. One even said he brought this matter to DeWalt a year ago and yet nothing was done. Why let such a deceitful advertisement destroy your reputation without any attempt to remedy the cause? This is my first set of DeWalt tools I purchased and I am really disappointed. Can DeWalt be generous enough to replace the batteries? Thank you.

Great Product.

I bought this kit less than 6 months ago.  Used the drill maybe 5-6 times and now the drill chuck won't hold a bit. Trying to get repaired through Dewalt warranty has been nothing short of a nightmare.  Wish I never purchased.  Dewalt isn't what it used to be.
