Fails to charge batteries consistently, often flashing error indicators.

Sound volume is adequately loud for users.

Sound quality is clear even at higher volumes.

Got a radio in 2020 I am a roofer it has fallen off the roof over 50 times from 1 story up to a 4 story roof and still works it's broken all over you can see inside the radio only one handle left and still works

I received this radio today. The DeWALT model DCR025. This radio is constructed like a tank & Indestructible! The sound quality is good. Remember, this is not a 1000 watt full audio sound system that would blow your mind. It's a stereo boom box that's versatile. I had no trouble with the Bluetooth feature or setting the radio up. I purchased a Dewalt 20V XR four amp battery Model # DCB204 so I could get maximum time with the radio. It fully charged this battery in about 1 hour. I will update my review if I encounter any problems. Also keep in mind that this model does NOT come with a BOTTLE OPENER. I believe that model was discontinued and this is the New & Improved Model.

Built like a tank, Indestructible!

The kids love using the blue tooh feature. I like using the radio while charging batteries & powering other tools with the AC outlets.

Great radio

I like some of the features but it seems like the designers should have tried using it in a real life environment. The door has no easy way to open it after pushing the open latch. The USB port is nearly impossible to get to with cord even with small hands. The radio needs a place to sit your phone after plugging in because it almost impossible to shut the door with cord plugged in without damaging port. Bottle opener is unusable without picking up radio and still isn't easy. Display is unreadable directly ahead and you must look down on it to see clearly. The antenna designed in a odd way so not easy to raise and lower. It could use a spare battery holder. Good sound and volume.

Not very well thought out design!

Dewalt

Going back in time with the sound this radio puts out. The music quality is terrible for the size/price of this radio. How is this so much worse that the stack radio that got discontinued? Wild.

Terrible sound quality

I have had this radio for two years.  It worked fine until it stopped turning on entirely.  Pressing the power button flashes the screen momentarily but it does nothing else anymore.  It has lived on a garage shelf for the entire time.  Battery or AC power does not make a difference.  Very disappointing...

Problematic product

I've had the radio for a couple of years, I purchased the radio for use in my home garage, it has lived a good life, never outside and has great features, Bluetooth, good audio, however now it will only work if it has a charged battery installed. If you attempt to plug it in and turn it on no audio is played and the screen is flashes on and off. Also won't charge the battery, just flashes the hot/cold battery, never starts charging. As I only purchase Dewalt tools, this radio has been extremely disappointing. It has been treated very gently, and spent it's entire life on my work bench.

I would love to rate it higher as the design is great, and it's durably built, but if it won't charge and will only run off battery, and for the cost, I can't say quality and value is anything other than 1 star,  the product is very easy to use when you use the battery, effectiveness and durability are poor, 1 star.

Wouldn't recommend as it seems that Dewalt also doesn't respond to input from their customers.

It was great, until it wasn't....

Worked for a couple month and then wouldnt charge or even turn on.  Tried one more and the same thing happened.  I didn't need to replace my 012.  Just wanted the new look and blue option.  Purchased my 12 in 08 and still no issues.

No luck with the 026

I loved Dewalt tools and I figured I'd give this radio a try. This radio worked fine the few couple of uses. Now all I get is a blue screen when it is plugged into the outlet. It will only play when using a Dewalt battery instead of having it plugged into the outlet. Support does not care about my issue that I am having. I am not the only person experiencing this problem with the same radio. This is going to drive me away from using DeWalt products.

Don't Purchase

I've had this radio about a year, was good until one day I plugged it in and wouldn't come on. Only way this boat anchor will work is with the battery. Everything else works, plugs on the side even work if plugged in. But wont work if no battery and wont charge a battery. This will be my last dewalt radio there junk.
