DeWitt Single Net Excelsior Blanket is an erosion-control blanket made from curled aspen wood fibers designed to help manage soil movement on disturbed ground. The long-fiber excelsior is distributed evenly throughout the blanket, creating a consistent mat that provides surface coverage in areas affected by grading, excavation, or new seeding. The blanket includes a photodegradable top net that helps hold fibers in place during installation and early project stages. 

This blanket is commonly used on slopes, ditch bottoms, drainage paths, embankments, bridge approaches, and similar areas where controlling surface soil movement is important. It can also be applied in residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal settings, including roadside projects, stream banks, and urban drainage corridors. The green coloring provides a more natural appearance in open soil areas, allowing the blanket to blend into the landscape as vegetation develops. 

Excelsior blankets help reduce soil displacement by covering exposed ground and offering temporary surface stabilization until plant growth becomes established. They are often installed on newly graded slopes, construction sites, or areas where runoff may move loose soil.
