This is the third book in this series, and yes, I have read them all, not that I would want to, but, I do think you could read this one alone, the author does a wonderful job of bringing you up to date.
With this book, Kaely's father has now been in jail over 20 years, and now there are new murders with the same MO, how can that be?
There are so many twists and turns here, and no I did not see them coming, you will think you have your mind made up, when the rug is quickly pulled out from under you.
This is the end of the series, and yes, I would love to continue here, and the answers are forthcoming, will they be as you hope? There is a bit of sweet romance, and a lot of forgiveness, both to others and oneself, and throughout the book there is a love of God..
I will miss these characters, but am looking forward to the next read from this author, she never disappoints!

Great Christian Suspense!

Nancy Mehl takes us deeper into the life of FBI agent Kaely Quinn in this third book of her profiler series. 
There is never a chance to get bored reading about this interesting character. Kaely has a strong faith but still struggles with unresolved issues concerning her father who is incarcerated. Ms. Mehl has done an admirable job of portraying her subjects as real, conflicted as they are. There are many layers to them that show us why they behave as they do. 
Kaely is still reeling from her last case and surfs the Net for possible drug related cases. She comes across a breaking news article that brings back the awful memory she has of her father, a serial killer. She is afraid it could be happening again. To her surprise, she and her partner Noah Hunter are approached by the DeMoines Chief of Police and she is facing the possibility of confronting her father. Noah cares for Kaely but is scared as she regularly puts her life in danger. She is a Christian but is finding it hard to see the Will of God in the whole picture. They come to realize that they are fighting not only flesh and blood but evil forces behind evil people. 
Exciting and complicated, this story leaves you guessing at times and comes to a fascinating conclusion, with the principal players stronger and more resilient. 
Can't wait to see what Nancy Mehl come up with next!

Thrilling and surprising

If you like intense romantic suspense, with the emphasis on suspense, this Kaely Quinn, Profiler series by Nancy Mehl may be the one for you. I just finished the third and final book, Dead End. Personally, Mehl has taken me to the end of my ability to endure with her Kaely character. Kaely is very focused on her work and will let nothing get in the way of her catching the worst criminals. Even if her methods are unorthodox. Unfortunately, her pride threatens her relationships with God and her special coworker, Noah.
Noah and Kaely travel to Iowa to interview Kaely's father, an infamous serial killer, in hopes of stopping a new serial killer. While Kaely may be the only hope to get the Raggedy Man to talk, will she self-destruct before the mission is accomplished?
Noah grows by leaps and bounds in this novel, but I almost want to tell Noah he's headed down a dead-end path.
Never did I see the ending coming.
I appreciated that Mehl shows
equal parts evil and good in this fictional crime-chiller story. Mehl shows that man's depravity comes from the pit itself. Only God can combat that kind of horrendous opposition, and we must be fully equipped. As such, there is a lot of Scripture included in this book.
Who will Kaely rely on- herself, her unusual friend, God, and or Noah?
Noah knows God doesn't always rescue His people. Grab this book and grab your closest huggable as you read super-speed to discover whether Kaely can survive.

Bk 3 of Intense Romantic Suspense

Dead End by Nancy Mehl
Book three of the Kaely Quinn series Dead End is a action packed thriller that will keep you at the edge of your seat. I was intrigued from the very beginning and had a hard time putting it down. It can be read as a part of the series or as a stand alone. But once you read one you, will be hunting down the others. Nancy Mehl did a fantastic job with this five star book. I always look forward to one of her new releases she never disappoints me.

Dead End, by Nancy Mehl, is the third in the Kaely Quinn Profiler series and it answers many of the questions raised in the first two books. Once again, we join Kaely and Noah in their fight to identify and catch a serial killer. This time, though, it is directly linked to Kaely's murderous father and happening in her former hometown. This psychological thriller is fascinating and enjoyable!

Kaely struggles throughout to deal with her past trauma as she comes face to face with her father for the first time since his arrest. Noah can see the strain she is under but feels helpless to ease her distress. The killer is smart and well-informed challenging them to get ahead of him. Nancy keeps the reader guessing, right to the end, which I love in a mystery novel. The conclusion is satisfying!

Noah and Kaely cling to their faith as they work through the complex situation they find themselves in. Each wrestles with tough topics such forgiveness, the will of God, and evil in the world. These discussions are well-written and thought-provoking.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one, it's a five out of five on the enJOYment scale and highly recommended.

Fascinating and enjoyable

Dead End, by Nancy Mehl, is book 3 in the Kaely Quinn Profiler series.  This is an action packed, suspenseful, whodoneit story that is very hard to put down.  The story starts with a man receiving yet another weird gift from his wife, this time a metal detector.  While using his gift, he finds a dead body.  The criminal investigation finds many more bodies.  It appears there is a Copycat murderer that is using the same MO as Kaely Quinn's father, Ed.  Ed has been in prison for twenty years and keeps to himself. Some of the MO has never been released to the public.  
Kaely is called in to return to her hometown and try to find out if her father is working with someone to kill more women.  She had vowed to never return and has spend he life trying to forget her father.
I have really enjoyed this series.  It is written so well, it is hard to put down.  The characters have developed during this series and we have been updated about her family.  In this book we see how Kaely was affect by what her father did. We also see how the working relationship between her and Noah has changed.   I would recommend this series to anyone who likes crime stories.
