*Summary*

Paul Gleason can't believe the amount of pain Sarah Miller has had to endure in her 26 years of life. If it wasn't bad enough her parents were murdered within sight of her and her older sister Hannah, 20 years later, Hannah is gone too. Though he knows he shouldn't get involved, he can't help but feel that he should help support her as she searches for the person that could possibly become her killer. As the threats begin to mount, Paul can't help but feel she needs his protection. As things begin to twist and tangle, who is there to help them...and who is there to help his own agenda?

*I loved*

Many people have talked about Nancy Drew novels. You know, those apparently amazing mysteries every girl loved? Yeah...I've never read those. *Hangs head in shame* You know what though? As I read this Nancy Mehl I figured...you know this book must be pretty close to a Nancy Drew. If I'm right, boy do I need to start reading some Nancy Drews!! Wow!! This action packed book had me from the start. The beginning was the chilling opening every good mystery needs. Then Paul enters the scene and I'm already bursting with excitement because the protagonists' love stories are ALWAYS my favorite. Paul was caring, considerate, trust worthy, cautious, and still good looking which, in my book (no pun intended!) makes him perfect. Sarah was scared as well she should have been but that didn't stop her from being strong and taking responsibility for her niece. I didn't suspect the real killer until right before he was revealed, so to me that is a BIG plus. Throughout the book, Nancy injected the perfect amount of faith and Christian viewpoints without being pushy or overbearing about it. The cover...ooooh the cover!! It's fabulous! It gives us a glimpse of what the characters looked like while still keeping with the suspense that an Irene Hannon book might have.

If there's anything someone may not like about this book it's that it's told from one person's point of view throughout the whole book. I thought it was fine but some thoughts from Paul would have been nice but others may not feel the same way.

Deadly Echoes by Nancy Mehl is a fantastic Romantic Suspense book filled with twists, turns, and plenty of special scenes to keep you sustained and looking for more until the very end!

Nancy Drew...Nancy Mehl!!

Sarah lives in Sanctuary and is a school teacher. She is happy and back with her sister and niece. Then a shattering visit from Deputy Sheriff Paul Gleason. She is told that her sister has been murder and the way it is described sounds like the murder of her parents. Sarah asks Paul to please check the similarities - especially one specific clue.

Be ready to be caught up in this romantic suspense. Each of Nancy Mehl's books that I've read has been better than the last. After I read my first book by this author, I was hooked. She went immediately to my favorite authors' list. She writes a tightly woven storyline, keeps you on the "edge of your seat". I have a hard time putting any of them down. Definitely her books are page turners.

Nancy Mehl writes wonderful Christian Romantic Suspense novels. She shows how the characters grow through adversities, by their faith and love of God.
