I purchased this for my husband and he loved the series!

I love this show and wish there had been another season!

last disc season 2 towards the end , the disc skips and has nothing but pixels . couldnt watch the ending . season 3 , some of the discs again skip , freeze and have pixels .
The first season discs were wrapped in shrink wrap as new and had to be cut away as it should be being a new disc set . Seasons 2 and 3 were not , making me wonder if they are used and were just put in with the first season to make a complete set .

love the series

So i reserved the full collection of all the serious DVD of Deadwood. I wotchech the first serious of DVDs. then started to watch the second series of DVDs and noticed they were white and not black like the first and last series. anyway. I began to watch the second series The White DVDs and I see the wording captions of the words being said for the hearing impaired and there's nothing I can do about it because in the manufacturing of putting the DVDs together by mistake they must have put the wrong DVDs for the second series in with my DVDs. there is no setting anywhere where I can get rid of the wordings on the bottom of the screen as the words are being said for the hearing impaired. I've tried everything and there's nothing that can get rid of it. I've checked out all the DVDs in this complete series. and it was truly a mistake made in the manufacturing of packaging the wrong set of DVDs for the second series. they all should have been black faced and the second series is white-faced indicating hearing impaired. I'm not very happy that I have to watch the complete second series with all the words in the bottom of the screen as I watched the screen and I can't do anything about it. also a few of the DVDs have minor scratches that causes the movie to skip through. now I didn't put the scratches in there and either did the DVD player. as I ordered a brand new DVD player and the DVDs at the same time so they were all brand new but yet I had scratches on some of the DVDs. again not very happy.

I was excited to get this boxed set because I have a media “area” where it would not be tucked on a shelf but completely seen. Some sort of brownish liquid stained one of the sides but it looks like the inside cases and the DVDs are ok... I'll try to play them later but I paid a higher price for the “nice” box and am extremely disappointed. I'm going to check on what the seller can do about it but I'm not hopeful.

Don't believe they used that kind of language abt.1876, There really isn't a plot. Would not recommended it.
