easy to install, I read some of the reviews and some people had problems removing the rubber guard because the screw will not come out. If they would at it to the instructions to pull and keep pressure on the rubber guard  the screw will come right out. 👍

DeeZee tailgate assist

This kit makes it so nice when you open the tailgate. Easy one hand operation without letting it slam down stressing the cables

Excellent product

followed  instruction exactly  but  nut insert would  not stop spinning   had to  put dipples in  contact  surface  to make it  work  needs to be   better nut insert with  ridges    but  it works  great  if you can get nut to work

Installed easily on my 2014 Ram 1500 with no issues. Kit has some upgrades from the earlier kits I've seen installed on YouTube. Dee Zee instructions and videos are clear and easy to follow. Makes opening a heavy tailgate a one-handed operation.

Rams are know for their heavy tailgate. After installation the weight is not a problem when letting down. Item works perfectly. Need one to help lift it now.

Excellent Item!

Took less than an hour to install. Very much worth it. I did skip a step and did not remove a rubber piece. Even with it still in place this does not bind. It is well worth the price.

Works well

3rd truck, 3rd assist. I wish ram would build one in as an option. This by far was the most difficult to install. Previous purchases installed easy but I could not get stop nut to work. A trip to home depot to find another stop nut was futile. After a return home and using a vise grip and channel locks I got stop nut to work. After installing product is fine. Sale through walmart.com was easy and fast. Price was cheapest around.
