we already had some of these in our basement ceiling and wanted to add more.  they look so much nicer than the metal ones and are easy to open and close.

Product is very nicely engineered. It works well on suspended ceiling The back clip holds the  dome peice securely.  There are screw holes too that could be used with toggle bolts on dry wall or gentlly on ceiling panel.  The center peiece is on a screw that well let you adjust air flow.   If you spin it to tight it can be hard to open.   I leave it slightly open might be better if it had handle to turn it open and closed

Nice

I bought three of these for a new drop ceiling installation. They are very lightweight and easy to install and adjust and very quiet when air blows through them. No screws, rivets, etc. to install, they just snap on to the ceiling tile. Only concern is that they could yellow over time with exposure to UV.

Diffuser

I was looking for a more modern-looking diffuser, different than the typical round metal ones you find at home improvement stores. This definitely met my requirements! I took a star off for 2 things: quality took a hit because it is plastic and I also noticed that after I put this against my newly-painted ceiling the plastic on the product seems to have a slight "reddish" hue to it. It's not even noticeable unless you are purposely looking for it, but would have preferred it to match my perfectly white ceiling. You actually spin the center part to open and close the vent, which can take over a minute to spin it from fully open to closed so fortunately you should only have to do it a couple of times a year, depending on your climate.

One last note: I wondered this myself, but the part that connects to your 6" duct fits *inside* the metal duct.

Overall nice modern appearance without drawing too much attention and does its job of diffusing air.

Modern-looking diffuser at a good price

The design of this deflector is a very efficient design except for the six inch round that connects to duct. It is designed for six inch steel duct to fit over the outside and should be designed to go on the inside for the reason of air flow.

Good to better if?

These are awesome, very simple to put in,and are half the price of lowes or Home Depot and it all comes in one piece your not buying 2pieces
