DEFY Extreme Wood Stain is a semi-transparent wood stain formulated using state-of-the-art nano-technology to create a level of durability that simply has not been available in a wood stain finish in the past. DEFY Extreme Wood Stain is our most innovative, high-performance product yet. Ultraviolet rays cause wood to turn gray and become susceptible to water penetration and decay. DEFY Extreme Wood Stain effectively protects the wood from the harmful effects of the sun and from graying by using zinc nano-technology. Excellent product, Used as instructed, 2 coats less than 20 minutes apart.  Covered old wood with colour close to matching expected and did about 100 sq feet with about 1/4 jug left.  Soaked into wood and see beads of water after rain, repel off of it.  Well worth the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product went on well with brushing and one gallon coated a 16x15 deck. The color  is dark for a cedar stain but is still more gold than orange or brown.   For a new deck freshly sanded, it went on evenly but does show where brushing longer in one area occurred so I think a second coat would eliminate that issue.  It definitely repels water.  It has only been 2 weeks so I have no information on how it lasts over time yet. So far I am glad I chose this stain and color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] DEFY was perfect for the job we had!  We have a very large pine %23 cedar deck.  It is approx. 12 years old and the boards have weathered well but the color has darkened and faded both making the deck look very spotted.  DEFY is water based.  It soaked right in and gave the deck a rich golden-dark color.  I wouldn't call it cedar, but considering the irregularities of color, it toned them out well and left us with a good looking deck!
