Don't worry about the negative reviews. If you look it up on the American Walmart site it has great reviews. Yes, the mattress is firm - as it should be for safety reasons. Easy to put together. Yes, it's not the quality of a $300 item but I've seen same quality bassinets for a significantly higher price tag. Will be great for my baby!
