I boiled on the stove for two minutes, softened perfectly %26 molded right around my teeth. Fits snugly so it "clicks" %26 stays in place like the dentist ones. My dentist charged $750 for my first one which I lost %26 she wouldn't discount a replacment. This was only ten bucks %26 I'm thrilled. I trimmed it with scissors for an even better fit. Entire process was less than five minutes. I've had ones that were bulky but this one isn't. It has the perfect amount of gel. Slept through the night without a single problem. Going to buy a backup. I even had two other brands in my bedside table that are bulky and never used (pictured) so you can compare.

I wear mouthguards every night because I have TMJ. I bite down and grind my teeth at night unintentionally.
​I have purchased this mouth guard before and I liked it, but it cracked easily along the front seam. It lasted about a month. I purchased this again recently and the base of it seems very thick, even though I molded it to fit my mouth.
​I tried heating it up again, trying to remold and sink my teeth deeper. It's as deep as they will go. It still seemed thick and bulky. After wearing it for about a week, my lower teeth started to hurt and start to feel a little loose... like worrisome loose. After switching back to my old night guard, my teeth feel back to normal.

Not for me

I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because it PROBABLY does what it's supposed to.  Problem is I can't get past the gagging to find out.   I followed the directions and made the perfect fit.  It's just very bulky and very hard to get used to.  I gagged the entire time it was in my mouth and would never dream of trying to sleep in it.  You literally cannot close your mouth which I suppose is the whole idea so you don't grind your teeth, but.....this isn't the solution for me.  I'm going to see if my dentist can custom make me a very thin version.

Into the Boxing Ring

After several times putting in hot water based on the instructions, but not melted in my mouth and was still hard, 

really disappointed,

I had to force my jaws and teeth firmly, but too much pressure on my teeth, not worth it. 

I repeat, I followed the instructions

Never changed shape and fit to my teeth

I purchased two of these dental guards.  They did not work at all.  They never softened in the hot water and I was unable to bit into them after submerging them in the hotel water for the allotted amount of time or even with extra time.  I have used this product before and never had any problems.  So, I do not know if this lot number was a bad batch or what?

Defective - Did Not Work

I tried about 10 times in various different ways (more water, less water, rapid boil, light boil, with tray, without tray, etc) but no matter what I could not get the mold to soften enough. My teeth barely made dents in it even though it felt like I was breaking them from the force I was using.

Did not work

mouth guard kind of split at its seam. I wore it one night, and it kind of cut the side of my tongue. I'll have to throw it away.

Painful

The worst night guard I have tried. Impossible to mold to teeth correctly. I have been doing this for years and this is the worse one I have ever tried. I will be requesting a refund. Too small, too short, and too hard to mold. The molding tray is crap too. This may work for a small child, but for anyone with adult teeth- run away.

I followed the instructions to the letter and it didn't work. I could not bite down the guard and tray because it was too big to fit my mouth. Even when I removed the hot guard from the tray and try to bite down it was too solid to form to my teeth. I would like to return the item for a refund.

Terrible...does not work

The claim is that this will mold to your mouth.  I spent 10 solid minutes (instructions state 75 seconds) with this item in boiling water and it never softened.  Which made it useless and a waste of my money.  Do better.  This product is trash, do not purchase if you are expecting anything other than hard plastic that remains hard plastic.
