I have been a DENON fan since the 80's. Great sound and features that I really like. Bluetooth capibilities for speakers and being able to stream music. Just enjoy a movie with Elite sound. Systems lasts, still got my first one.

I truly wanted a Denon CD player, but I thought I was buying a 5 CD changer so when it arrived, I was sad to see that it was a single disc player. I never used it, but I could see the quality in the entire product looks and the perfect packaging.

High Hopes

Have owned this player now for a few months and it is a wonderful addition to my audio setup. Pairs well with my NAD C-368 via the optical input. Has a very clean, well designed appearance with reasonably good build quality.

I bought this player a couple of weeks ago, from the "Canadian" Denon website. It arrived eventually-a week later than promised- from the USA. It seems to work well, and sounds perfectly acceptable. It also plays CD-R discs with no problems, though it is slow to 'Read' the disk before playing it. The display is minimal - I'm accustomed to the better display on my Rotel RCD-1072 and on my 30 year-old Rotel CD changer. The big drawback of the DCD-600NE is the completely inadequate RC-1234 remote, which is a generic 'control every component' remote. 49 buttons and not one will turn the power  on to the CD player, or open and close the drawer. Fortunately the much better remote from my 1993 Rotel changer will control the DCD-600NE. It's a pretty disturbing sign of how Denon quality and design has changed in the past 30 years. Note that there's no Coaxial Digital output. Also, it's unfortunate that the option of a non-black faceplate is only available on the most expensive Denon components.

Works, sounds good but poor remote.

The unit shipped was defective. It would not read the CDs. The Denon help line had no answers. I had to return it.

I own the PMA-600 amplifier, which I love, so I purchased this matching CD player to pair with the amp... well it didn't work. It would not read any CD of any format. All of the reviews of this player were very positive, but it seems like there are some major QC problems. Very frustrating. I of course returned it but it was a major let down. I've owned Denon equipment for decades... this is the first time I've seen anything from Denon be a complete lemon.
