I believed this was an oil 
kind of medium, I was
 mistaken 
Its very nice chalk just so
you are aware that is what this
is, unable to use for any detail

my 6 year old needed it for art and this is cheap and works wonderfully for his art class.

My granddaughter loves the colors, and the product does what it is meant for, BUT the product was packaged very poorly and arrived to us with 9 broken color sticks.  I would recommend this item IF your plan is to go into the store to pick it up, but if you're like us and Must rely on shipping due to not being able to get out, then I would not recommend it as the box was packed horribly, which welcomed damage.

Good colors blends well together but some are harder than others

Just used these with charcoal.  They are vibrant.  They have the texture of chalk but the vibrance is more like water color.  If you add extra, it doesn't clump, but will look more like the oil based pastels.

The sides are coated, probably a caking drying agent. You've gotta break thru it to do a line using a full side. Test it on a page other than your primary drawing. A nice set for beginners.

I would call these HARD pastels.  They are definitely not soft like the myungo brand....and unfortunately, they do NOT layer on each other.  They do work better with sanded paper, but not really at all with regular pastel. paper.  I was able to use them as base colors but if I needed to layer I had to switch to another brand to go on top.  the colors are nice, but I won't be buying these again.

The quality of the product is great but more than half of the set was broke.

Good product, bad packaging

arrived packaged in only a plastic envelope with no padding. pastels were badly broken. very disappointing as this was intended as a gift, but will still be functional.

does not ship well

Worst product ever bought. All colors are very dry and spread all over hands and paper while drawing. Oil pastels not supposed to be dry. I have other brands works well

Not worth money, total waste
